SUNDAY EDITORIAL
Today I am going to do as LJG did yesterday and express myself.
I am proud to be an American, and I am proud to be a child of Christ. I do not believe as I do because of how I was raised, though it did influence me in many ways. I was taught from an early age to ask questions, search for answers, and not to except what I saw as the truth.
I have found that the greatest gift that God has given me is the Holy Spirit because when someone is out of line with the Word of God, it will jump up and roar like a pit bull. I know it inside as well as I know I am sitting here writing.
I love the Lord so much, and know in my heart I can never Love Him enough. That is one of the reasons for this site. I want to share what I have and so does LJG. It is too wonderful to contain.
It hurts me when I see people just take for granted the rights that we have in this country; the rights that we are losing, slowly but surely. And what really hurts me about it, is it doesn’t take a lot of people to turn this country around.
Over and over again in the OT we see people of God going into battle. There are even stories where they were told to take less men. David with a rock killed Goliath. The wall of Jericho, well it fell just with men walking around it and blowing a trumpet. In one story there weren’t any humans in battle, it was just angels. God is amazing, all the time.
Here are just two scripture references:
2 Kings 7:1-7
1 Then Elisha said, Hear ye the word of the LORD; Thus saith the LORD, To morrow about this time [shall] a measure of fine flour [be sold] for a shekel, and two measures of barley for a shekel, in the gate of Samaria.
2 Then a lord on whose hand the king leaned answered the man of God, and said, Behold, [if] the LORD would make windows in heaven, might this thing be? And he said, Behold, thou shalt see [it] with thine eyes, but shalt not eat thereof.
3 And there were four leprous men at the entering in of the gate: and they said one to another, Why sit we here until we die?
4 If we say, We will enter into the city, then the famine [is] in the city, and we shall die there: and if we sit still here, we die also. Now therefore come, and let us fall unto the host of the Syrians: if they save us alive, we shall live; and if they kill us, we shall but die.
5 And they rose up in the twilight, to go unto the camp of the Syrians: and when they were come to the uttermost part of the camp of Syria, behold, [there was] no man there.
6 For the Lord had made the host of the Syrians to hear a noise of chariots, and a noise of horses, [even] the noise of a great host: and they said one to another, Lo, the king of Israel hath hired against us the kings of the Hittites, and the kings of the Egyptians, to come upon us.
7 Wherefore they arose and fled in the twilight, and left their tents, and their horses, and their asses, even the camp as it [was], and fled for their life.
Judges 7:4-7
4 And the LORD said unto Gideon, The people [are] yet [too] many; bring them down unto the water, and I will try them for thee there: and it shall be, [that] of whom I say unto thee, This shall go with thee, the same shall go with thee; and of whomsoever I say unto thee, This shall not go with thee, the same shall not go.
5 So he brought down the people unto the water: and the LORD said unto Gideon, Every one that lappeth of the water with his tongue, as a dog lappeth, him shalt thou set by himself; likewise every one that boweth down upon his knees to drink.
6 And the number of them that lapped, [putting] their hand to their mouth, were three hundred men: but all the rest of the people bowed down upon their knees to drink water.
7 And the LORD said unto Gideon, By the three hundred men that lapped will I save you, and deliver the Midianites into thine hand: and let all the [other] people go every man unto his place.
But the Christians do not want to stand together. They let petty differences that are not important stand in between them. United we stand, divided we fall. I am talking about the “right” way to be baptized, or having to wear dresses not pants, etc. I am not speaking of praying to others, that is a sin. I am not speaking of kissing rings, or bowing to statues, those are also sins.
The other day a young man said to me, “to each his own”. Hey you know what that is cool with me. But don’t tell me to stop what I am doing. I am employed by the only store in our town that said Merry Chrsitmas to our customers last year. And when I applied for the job, the manager asked me why I wanted to work there and that is what I told him. During orientation they tell you God first, family second and then the company. You don’t hear much of that anymore. And I love my job.
It is time for this country to stand together, even if we do look low in numbers, and be counted. I do not want God taken out of the USA. Yes it is the United States of American one nation under God. I do not want to lose that. I am ashamed of my brothers and sisters who are willing to quietly sit by and let anyone whether they were born here or came from another country tell us to take God out of it.
There is no taking God out of the USA not as long as there are some of us. And believe me there are a lot of us.
You don’t fix what works. And honestly that is what has happened to this country. The majority of the people that founded this country set it up with God as the Head. Then others came in and slowly people started to make compromises so others would be comfortable.
Not in my home, you are welcome to come and visit. You are welcome to express your views. You can ask all the questions you want. But when it comes to my home, we stand for Jesus Christ. The Bible is the only word of God that I know. Books written by man and inspired by man are just that inspired by man, and if they do not line up with the Word of God, then I have no need of them. Nor do I add them to the Word of God.
Doing this site I read a lot of articles and books for information. And it never stops amazing me the lengths people will go looking for the only real peace they can have and that is in Jesus Christ.
I wish that all could be as sure as I of the love of my Father in heaven. I wish that all had salvation through Him. Without it you are lost. They Bible tells us that all will not be saved, but in the end all will bow down to Him.
I do not compromise for you, for my family, for anyone. My stand is for Jesus; He is the way the only way. I don’t need anyone else to get to Him, I am an open door to Him, and He is an open door to me. I have but to seek and I shall find. Everyday I grow more in Him, I learn, and I have joy in knowing that if I make a mistake, I am forgiven by simply asking Him, and not anyone else. I stand for Jesus and shall stand until the Lord comes again.
God Bless
