FREEDOM ~ Unrestricted action

We all like things that are free...or do we? Think about when Walmart has a sale. People knock each other over to get the best deal. Now think on this, how many people do we knock over trying to get to the best "free" things that has ever been granted? Not many I would dare to say. And we call ourselves believers.
Yes, we are believers in the things we can touch, see and smell. But one of the most important things that has been given is the rights and ability to be FREE!!! Oh yes, we are FREE but we aren't using the right tool to realize this simple idea which is just plain stupid.
How many of us oil up our whole body when we get out of the tub or shower? We ask for these oils for all kind of presents, we buy it, hopefully, when it is on sale or when we can buy one item and get the oil FREE.
You know what is just plain stupider? There are a lot of us walking around with a DRY soul. Why? Because we won't use the tool that has FREE oil. We wear make up to cover the ugly. We pay for those items as well, sale or not. These things we just have to have.
We are FREE to speak our minds, well at least at the present moment, and most of us do. Some of what we speak shouldn't be spoken. We have oiled and covered the ugly on the outside but what we speak is just plain ugly. Why is that? Not using the right tool.
Ok, so what is the right tool? It is the BIBLE. The word of God. The FREE word, that covers the ugly on the outside and inside. We pay for a bank account, God paid the price for our bank, so we can go withdraw at all times with no charge, no late fees, no ugly people to look at or tolerate or get trampled by others. No waiting in line, not seeing exposed body parts, or hear ugly words being spoken. Nope, it is there for us at all times, just waiting for us to pick it up and oil our souls, minds and bodies. Now that should just excite you to no end. But I can hear the "ho hum" from some of you.
Believer's of God as well as the secular believer's are always holding our past, present and future sins against us. But God doesn't. He totally forgives us all our sins and holds nothing against us.
Bear with me for just a few more minutes. I know, I do get a little long winded, as my rECj is always telling me, but to my way of thinking, we will spend all the time it takes to read a 650 page worldly book but don't want to take the few minutes a day that it takes to read what is so freely waiting for us. It has already been paid for us to use by the blood of our Jesus. Oh dear let me get back on track.
We are a welcomed guest at the table of the promises. Scripture is a never-failing treasury filled with boundless stores of grace. There is not a promise in the Word which shall be withheld. We are free to all that is treasured up in Christ—wisdom, righteousness, sanctification, and redemption. It matters not what our need is, for there is fullness of supply in Christ, and it is there for all who believe.
O what a “freedom” is ours! Freedom from condemnation, freedom to the promises, freedom to the throne of grace, and at last freedom to enter heaven!
What is the scripture that got me to thinking on all this: Galatians 5:1 Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.
Enjoy yall's day, whether it be with God or the world. You are FREE to do either.
God's Blessings to each of you,
LJG/rECj
