BE STILL AND KNOW THE LORD, HEAR HIS VOICE

1Timothy 2:1-4 1Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, 2 for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceful life in all godliness and reverence. 3 For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, 4 who desires all men to be saved and to come to knowledge of the truth. The USA came together yesterday in freedoms that many countries do not have and can only dream of, the right to vote for a person of our choice. President Obama was re elected in a race that was close but fair, winning the Electoral College with over 300 votes and half plus 3 million of the popular votes. Both Romney and Obama ran a hard race to the end. Which ever side you supported you can be proud of the effort put forth to win. Alas there can only be one winner. We are alarmed by the remarks that have been seen and heard over the results of this Presidential election. Even LJG and myself made different choices, each felt they were lead by the Lord in the way they voted. Our love and friendship has not changed nor has the fact that we have prayed for this President and will continue to pray for him, and yes we will thank the Lord for him. The thing here is to do the will of God not our personal will. If you do not like the results that should be reason for you to pray even more that God will touch his heart and 'lead him to the right.' We also need to stop and think about the fact that God will judge us as we judge others including our President. We thank God that are able to go into a poll and vote for a person of our own choosing. God Bless recj/LJG
