ROSE AND LINDA'S BLOG WHAT IS GOOD FOR ONE IS NOT FOR ANOTHER
Years ago I heard a Pastor explain that churches are like vo-tech schools, some teach one thing, while another teaches something else. You have to be in the right school to learn the trade you are going to use in the world. He said the same is true of churches, not all churches are for all people. God brought this to my mind tonight as I started saying my prayers. I had to repent after talking about a church service I was at today. My neighbor and I attended the church to help a fellow neighbor get dressed to be married. Arriving we were greeted by most everyone there and as new ones came in they would come shake hands and greet us, a very happy friendly group of people. I don't know when the service really started. To my neighbor and I, we were confused, could not follow the service, were really at a total lack of understanding. This is from two women raised in church. To us there was no order. We both were happy when we saw people leaving and the service we think was over, as we also left. Later I walked three houses down to see them and got a shock. Everyone was talking about how great the Pastor preached, and how beautiful the service was. I had to wonder were we at the same church. And it was when I went to pray about it that God reminded me not all churches are for all people. Well if you wanted to teach me Latin I would be lost, it is not my job. Apparently what they are being trained for is not for me but it is for them that are receiving there. Remember this when looking for a church and when visiting a church. God Bless recj/LJG
