WHATS STOPPING YOU FROM GETTING OUT OF THE BOAT?

Matthew 14:25-33...And in the fourth watch of the night Jesus went unto them, walking on the sea...And when the disciples saw him walking on the sea, they were troubled, saying, it is a spirit; and they cried out for fear...But straightway Jesus spake unto them saying, Be of good cheer; it is I; be not afraid...And Peter answered him and said, Lord, if it be thou, bid me come unto thee on the water...And he said, Come. And when Peter was come down out of the ship, he walked on the water, to go to Jesus...But when he saw the wind boisterous, he was afraid and beginning to sink, he cried, saying, Lord, save me...And immediately Jesus stretched forth his hand, and caught him, and said unto him, O thou of little faith, wherefore didst thou doubt?...And when they were come into the ship, the wind ceased...Then they that were in the ship came and worshiped him, saying, Of a truth thou art the Son of God.

Is it FEAR? Look here: 2 Timothy 1:7...For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind. Is it DOUBT? OK then look here: Matthew 21:21...Jesus answered and said unto them, Verily I say unto you, If ye have faith, and doubt not, ye shall not only do this which is done to the fig tree, but also if ye shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; it shall be done.

Is it because you think you lack AUTHORITY?: Well look here: God gives us authority over ALL THINGS: 2 Corinthians 10:8...For thought I should boast somewhat more of our authority, which the Lord hath given us for edification, and not for your destruction, I should not be ashamed: Is it lack of FAITH? Philippians 4:13...I can do ALL THINGS thru Christ which strengtheneth me.

Peter did not step out of the boat til Jesus bids him to "come." Then Peter was bold and steps out. BUT he let DOUBT creep into his mind and started to sink. Jesus rebuked Peter, "oh ye of little faith."

I am not going to say that I would attempt to walk on water. But don't you think that water could also refer to the very land we are walking upon? I do. Sometimes we get so bold and step out of the boat before God bids us "come." That is when we sink. But whose hand is there to lift us up? JESUS.

We have mentioned this to you before, you can and should listen to and for the voice of God. When He bids you "come" get out of the boat! Don't hesitate, just do it. He will not let you sink. He is right there with you then as He is always: Hebrews 13:5-6...Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee...So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me.

On the AUTHORITY given you by our God just get bold and step on out. You will find it will be much better for you than staying in the boat.

Remember you are a blood bought child of the KING.
