MAKE A JOYFUL NOISE UNTO THE LORD

Psalm 100 (King James Version)
1 Make a joyful noise unto the LORD, all ye lands.
2 Serve the LORD with gladness: come before his presence with singing.
3 Know ye that the LORD he is God: it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture.
4 Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name.
5 For the LORD is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations.

Psalm 91:2
I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.

There are times in our life’s when it seems the last thing we can do is sing a joyful noise unto the lord. A noise, oh Lord it is a noise that we feel like making, but not a noise of joy.

Have you ever had one of those days when you did not have a moment of quite the entire day? You can’t even think straight from so many distractions. You can barely send what I call an “SOS” help me Lord up. There is no time to go to a quite corner and cry out to God, to spend a moment with Him who will give you peace. You feel as though you are running on empty. Well you probably are.

If you own a car, then you know that not only do you need to fill up with gas; you also need to maintain the entire vehicle. That means tires, oil, regular check ups. If you let film built up on the windows you can’t see clear. The entire car has to be taken care of. Well our relationship with Christ has to be maintained just as well.

We have to fuel up each day. We have to have our time with God to make it through the day. If we maintain our relationship with Christ, then when those days do happen when we get woke up and jarred from our rest into a hectic day where all we can do is send up an “SOS” we will be prepared for whatever comes against us. And we can say ……

Psalm 91
1 He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.

And there we can sing of His glory.

God Bless
