OUT OF YOUR COMFORT ZONE

Matthew 27:32 As they were going out, they found a Cyrenian man named Simon. They forced this man to carry His cross.


What do we know of Simon? Is he a follower of Christ? We know they found him, where they found him we know nothing about. They forced him to carry the cross. Forced him, means he was not a willing partaker in this task that he has been told to do. It is easy to think of what was going on in his mind. Why me? Get someone else. This thing is heavy. I didn’t do anything wrong.

I think we have all thought or felt some of those things at one time or another in our own life’s. How dare anyone make us do something that we want no part of. We should be free to do things, not forced.

God does want us to choose. He has given us freedom of choice. He wants us to make the right decisions. He will though call on us to step out of our comfort zone and use us to do things we would never do on our own.

It is up to us if we choose to believe in Him and willingly follow Him. He will never force us. He desires that we trust Him enough to know that He knows best.

God will never put more on us then we can bear. He will never give us a task without providing us a means to complete it. If God tells us to do something, He will see it through till the end.

It is us that have to make the decision to follow Him and let Him guide us to do it His way. Not our way but His way. If He tells us to do something, He will also show us how to do it.
