ZEAL VS KNOWLEDGE

Proverbs 19:2 Also, that the soul be without knowledge, it is not good; and he that hasteth with his feet sinneth.

So many of us have the zeal, to be on fire for the Lord God. But many lack the knowledge to walk slow and watch where their feet go. Reckon why there is such a lack of knowledge? The anwser is really very simple, there is a lack of study. Without study there will be no knowledge.

Knowledge gives us the right to go boldly before the throne of God and to go boldly out into the world and proclaim the saving, loving grace of our God, who wants to be the Father of all people.

Yes, zeal for the Lord is a wonderful thing to have. But SLOW DOWN..'Seek ye first the kingdom of God and all these things will be given unto thee. By seeking the kingdom of God is where we get the knowledge to go forth to witness and the ability to watch where our feet want to take us.

Our Preacher at Crossroads Baptist Church in Middleburg, Florida put a wonderful statement on his facebook site yesterday. It simply states: Opportunity may knock only once, but temptation leans on the door bell.

With the knowledge we have obtained from searching and studying God's Words we will be able to control the haste of our feet and let God do the answering for us.
