I HATE RELIGION BUT LOVE JESUS
Happy Friday,
I have 2 videos to share today and what is
interesting is they have a similar theme to them
though I wasn't intentionally looking for this, it
just happened :)
And as we know, there isn't any coincidences when
serving our Heavenly Father.
The theme of these seem to be what is wrong with
the American church today.
The first one is about hating religion but loving
Jesus, something that has been said many times in
the Bradley household, especially when someone
asks, so, what religion are you? :) I'm glad you
asked that, let me start out by saying....
Side note (it's so interesting to start out bystating you hate religion, then pause for a fewseconds and say but I love Jesus to people who arenot saved.
It's the last thing they expect to hear and itbreaks down their barrier and more often than not,it leads to a great discussion and we have seenseveral people end up coming to Christ over thecourse of time by answering their question thatway. -- end of side note :)
The 2nd one is about making disciples.
So here is the first video, Why I Hate Religion
But Love Jesus. The title says it all. This is
actually a poem and seeing a young man coming to
the end of himself and finding Jesus with a REAL
transformation is definitely encouraging to see
during these tough times.
Here is the same one but with the words on the
screen instead of the guy reciting his poem.
Here's the 2nd video here called, This is
This talks about, well not talks, but puts on
screen how would church be different if we were in
fact focused on making disciples.
I'll let you watch it to see where they're going
but I agree that I believe our American churches
have lost their mission in trying to reach people
through all these other avenues but missed the
point of making disciples so the people in the
church can go out and reach the lost but somehow
we have it backwards where we are relying on
programs to reach the lost.
And I'll say I have nothing against these
programs/outreaches, in fact, I have participated
and seen results so I believe they can have their
place but not at the expense of training and
making disciples of Christians in their walk.
Have a very blessed weekend!
Chris Bradley
