Today’s commentary by Dave Whitehead, Senior Pastor, GraceNYC.org

Logic would tell us that a dissident group would disperse once their leader has been killed, but the exact opposite happened with the disciples of Jesus. They gathered. They prayed. Then the most amazing thing happened—suddenly there was a manifestation of God’s Spirit that captured the attention of the main marketplace of Jerusalem! The barrier of sin between God and mankind was destroyed, and once that happened the Holy Spirit was poured out upon all of God’s people. This is the opportunity that you and I have today—to confound the world around us with joy that can only come from God.
