DRUNK AND GLUTTONOUS

Matthew 11:19 The Son of man came eating and drinking, and they say, Behold a man gluttonous, and a winebibber, a friend of publicans and sinners. But wisdom is justified of her children.

Luke 7:34 The Son of man is come eating and drinking; and ye say, Behold a gluttonous man, and a winebibber, a friend of publicans and sinners!
If we take these two scriptures as fact that is how we could look at our Lord. I came across these as I was looking up scriptures for tomorrow's article. Perfect example of what I wrote on yesterday.

Who said it? Pharisees? What was their intent? To present Jesus as a sinner, who had no business leading others.

The Pharisees were focused on themselves and what they would lose if people listened to this 'man.' The bigger point here is not to take things out of context. We have to look at the entire picture.

I was at the drug store one morning picking up my grandson's medicine for ADHD, we had ran out so he had not taken his dose for the day. He is like the energizer bunny without his meds. With them he can focus, and we are all happy with his grade improvement. After the 5th time of saying okay you can not do that in the store and trying to get him to focus on one thing, a woman sitting beside me told me that if she took him home for one day she could make him mind. I must admit I did not answer politely, but I told her that if she took him home without his medicine she would bring him back. With that I walked away.

My grandson has opened my eyes to the behavior of other children and adults. I now realize that sometimes the behavior is beyond their control. There is lady that comes into work, she has had a stroke and though she starts off on the line after a few letters her writing drifts downward. Now I look for her and ask can I write that for you.

We have to look at the entire picture even if we don't know what is there. With the Bible that is looking at who, when, what, where, and how. With the people we have in our lifes or come in contact with it is not passing judgment whether we ever know the entire picture or not.
