MIND READING

First let us say that we pray you are reading the 40-Day Fast. You do not have to stop eating! It is really great the things that we need to leave along that can increase our relationship with Christ. Please enjoy and grow in the Lord.

MIND READING

Most all of us know the Bible speaks against fortune telling, astrologers etc.
Is.47:13-14
Let now the astrologers, the stargazers, the monthly prognosticators, stand up, and save thee from these things that shall come upon thee. Behold, they shall be as stubble; the fire shall burn them; they shall not deliver themselves from the power of the flame: there shall not be a coal to warm at, nor fire to sit before it.
There is only one who is able to read our thoughts and that is Jesus. Matthew 9:4, Luke 5:22, 6:8, 11:17. BUT, oh we do love that word, what of those who prophecy. Reason again that we are to question those who tell us things. How can we trust a person when we do not hear it from the Lord Himself? Many of us have had a Word from the Lord given to us from someone else, and some time that person is not a Christian. How do we know if it comes from man or God?
Gideon is the best example we can give you.
Judges 6:37-39
Behold, I will put a fleece of wool in the floor; and if the dew be on the fleece only, and it be dry upon all the earth beside, then shall I know that thou wilt save Israel by mine hand, as thou hast said. 38 And it was so: for he rose up early on the morrow, and thrust the fleece together, and wringed the dew out of the fleece, a bowl full of water.39 And Gideon said unto God, Let not thine anger be hot against me, and I will speak but this once: let me prove, I pray thee, but this once with the fleece; let it now be dry only upon the fleece, and upon all the ground let there be dew.
Remember Gideon was questioning God. It is better to question and get it right then to follow someones words and get it wrong. You will notice that Gideon did say 'Let not thine anger' Gideon qustioned but with respect.

Be Blessed
