THE REST OF THE STORY

In this day and age the world has turned many to thinking that they can do as they wish and it is all well and good. Many Christians have stepped into the world and chosen a mate, and then the tears came. As one minister told a group of young people, “ You picked him, and you sit here in church thinking all is beautiful, but within weeks after your wedding you will be in my office crying because he is not who you thought he was.”

The most precious gift you have and you throw it to a man, like a bone to a dog. And because you threw it so easily, he is not going to respect it or you.

God compares His very own relationship to you as a bride and groom. How sad we have taken what He intended to be one of the most important parts of our life and treat it so causally. Next in our life after God is suppose to be our spouse.

I will not speak anymore but let the scriptures speak for themselves. After all it is the Word of God, and it is the truth. Where do you stand?

Revelation 19:7 Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath made herself ready.

Isaiah 62:5 5 For as a young man marrieth a virgin, so shall thy sons marry thee: and as the bridegroom rejoiceth over the bride, so shall thy God rejoice over thee.
Isa 65:19 I will rejoice in Jerusalem, and joy in my people; the voice of weeping shall no longer be heard in her, nor the voice crying. [When we look at Isaiah 62:5 and 65:19 together the Lord is speaking not only of Jerusalem (His chosen bride) but we can also relate it to a man and a women being put together by God compared to a couple choosing for themselves and having problems. When letting God choose the bride and groom there shall not be a problem with weeping.]

Hebrews 13:4 Marriage is honourable in all, and the bed undefiled: but whoremongers and adulterers God will judge.

1 Corinthians 6:9 Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind,

Exodus 20:14 Thou shalt not commit adultery.

Matthew 19 [Jesus speaking on marriage]
3 The Pharisees also came unto him, tempting him, and saying unto him, Is it lawful for a man to put away his wife for every cause?
4 And he answered and said unto them, Have ye not read, that he which made them at the beginning made them male and female,
5 And said, For this cause shall a man leave father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife: and they twain shall be one flesh?
6 Wherefore they are no more twain, but one flesh. What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder.
7 They say unto him, Why did Moses then command to give a writing of divorcement, and to put her away?
8 He saith unto them, Moses because of the hardness of your hearts suffered you to put away your wives: but from the beginning it was not so.
9 And I say unto you, Whosoever shall put away his wife, except it be for fornication, and shall marry another, committeth adultery: and whoso marrieth her which is put away doth commit adultery.
10 His disciples say unto him, If the case of the man be so with his wife, it is not good to marry.
11 But he said unto them, All men cannot receive this saying, save they to whom it is given.
12 For there are some eunuchs, which were so born from their mother's womb: and there are some eunuchs, which were made eunuchs of men: and there be eunuchs, which have made themselves eunuchs for the kingdom of heaven's sake. He that is able to receive it, let him receive it.

1 Corinthians 7:9 But if they cannot contain, let them marry: for it is better to marry than to burn.

1 Timothy 5 [addressing widows]
3 Honour widows that are widows indeed.
6 But she that liveth in pleasure is dead while she liveth.
11 But the younger widows refuse: for when they have begun to wax wanton against Christ, they will marry;
2 Having damnation, because they have cast off their first faith.
14 I will therefore that the younger women marry, bear children, guide the house, give none occasion to the adversary to speak reproachfully.
15 For some are already turned aside after Satan.

1 Timothy 4
1 Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;
2 Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron;
3 Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth.
4 For every creature of God is good, and nothing to be refused, if it be received with thanksgiving:
5 For it is sanctified by the word of God and prayer.
6 If thou put the brethren in remembrance of these things, thou shalt be a good minister of Jesus Christ, nourished up in the words of faith and of good doctrine, whereunto thou hast attained.
7 But refuse profane and old wives' fables, and exercise thyself rather unto godliness.
8 For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come.
9 This is a faithful saying and worthy of all acceptation.
10 For therefore we both labour and suffer reproach, because we trust in the living God, who is the Saviour of all men, specially of those that believe.
11 These things command and teach.
12 Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity.
13 Till I come, give attendance to reading, to exhortation, to doctrine.
14 Neglect not the gift that is in thee, which was given thee by prophecy, with the laying on of the hands of the presbytery.
15 Meditate upon these things; give thyself wholly to them; that thy profiting may appear to all.
16 Take heed unto thyself, and unto the doctrine; continue in them: for in doing this thou shalt both save thyself, and them that hear thee.
