AND THE REST OF THE STORY

WORD OF WISDOM
JUSTIFICATION ~ A forensic term, opposed to condemnation. As regards its nature, it is the judicial act of God, by which he pardons all the sins of those who believe in Christ, and accounts, accepts, and treats them as righteous in the eye of the law, i.e., as conformed to all its demands. In addition to the pardon (q.v.) of sin, justification declares that all the claims of the law are satisfied in respect of the justified. It is the act of a judge and not of a sovereign. The law is not relaxed or set aside, but is declared to be fulfilled in the strictest sense; and so the person justified is declared to be entitled to all the advantages and rewards arising from perfect obedience to the law (Romans 5:1-10).
It proceeds on the imputing or crediting to the believer by God himself of the perfect righteousness, active and passive, of his Representative and Surety, Jesus Christ (Romans 10:3-9). Justification is not the forgiveness of a man without righteousness, but a declaration that he possesses a righteousness which perfectly and for ever satisfies the law, namely, Christ's righteousness (2 Corinthians 5:21; Romans 4:6-8).

Hebrews 12:16-17 KJV 16 Lest there be any fornicator, or profane person, as Esau, who for one morsel of meat sold his birthright. 17 For ye know how that afterward, when he would have inherited the blessing, he was rejected: for he found no place of repentance, though he sought it carefully with tears.

After the fact we shall answer for that which we do. How easy it is to sell your birthright. For a grain of meat? We though have repentance, though many do not take full benefit of that offer. How so, by holding onto that which we have the right to be forgiven. With tears we can seek the face of God and get repentance that is rightfully ours. Are you holding onto anything?

Psalm 103:10 KJV He hath not dealt with us after our sins; nor rewarded us according to our iniquities.

He is just and right to forgive us our sins when we ask for forgiveness. He will not deal with us after those things that He has forgiven us for, nor does He reward us according to those things. How much more mercy can we ask for? Do all of us realize just what that means? Can we accept that God does not make us pay for our sins? Jesus paid the price, we do not have to. If you are carrying around the belief that you need to be punished for some past things in your life, you are putting Christ back on the cross. Forgive yourself after you ask God to forgive you.

We need to get to a place in our life’s where we know and accept that He is just and right to forgive you or anyone. We have to remember that when He died on that cross He had all the sins that had been committed and all that ever would be committed on Him. That means that the sin you do next year have already been paid for. Could that be the reason He is fast to forgive since He has already paid for it? Think about that for a bit. Jesus is standing there just waiting for you to say forgive me. He is standing there saying, “I got that, it’s on Me.”

He has not dealt with us according to our sins, or our iniquities, Jesus paid the bill in full.

God Bless,
