THE GLORY OF GOD
WORD OF WISDOM
ROCK ~ (Hebrews tsur), employed as a symbol of God in the Old Testament (1 Samuel 2:2; 2 Samuel 22:3; Isaiah 17:10; Psalm 28:1; 31:2, 3; 89:26; 95:1); also in the New Testament (Matthew 16:18; Romans 9:33; 1 Corinthians 10:4). In Dan. 2:45 the Chaldaic form of the Hebrew word is translated "mountain." It ought to be translated "rock," as in Habakkuk 1:12 in the Revised Version. The "rock" from which the stone is cut there signifies the divine origin of Christ.

Isaiah 44:8b Do not fear, nor be afraid; have I not told you from that time and declared it? You are my witnesses. Is there a God besides Me? Indeed there is no other Rock, I know not one.
Isaiah 43:25 I, even I am He who blots out your transgressions for My own sake; And I will not remember your sins.
What a glorious God we serve. Do you remember that old song, “Jesus is the Rock of my salvation”? We can cling to the Rock, cry on the Rock, sit on the Rock, and stand on the Rock. Well that Rock was God in the Old Testament. Look at 2 Samuel 22:2; Psalm 31:3; Isaiah 17:10. Again and again God told us He was the Rock. Then what happens….
God to be sure that we all can have the gift He has given all along, brings Himself to earth as a baby, and tells us in Matthew 28:17 All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. And then in Matthew 16:18 one of the most [to me] misunderstood scriptures of all time: Say to you that you are Peter and on this Rock I will build my church. Not that He would build His church on Peter but the church would be built on the Rock.
The rock, Almighty GOD Himself, would build a church on Himself, of Himself. That Rock became Jesus. How can anyone doubt that Jesus was not God in the flesh? Over and over again we are shown the Glory of God, and how there is no other, and then there is Jesus. One in the same: Father, Son, and Holy Ghost. God as the Head, Jesus in the flesh, Comforter to dwell within us. There is only One, and by no other Name, but The Name of Jesus. Oh the Glory of God. To love us so much

Greetings
Remember, the whole point in using the term "rock/tsur" is as a metaphor, a symbol, of the steadfastness & strength of Almighty GOD.
Therefore, it is a symbol; not to be taken literally.
So, Almighty GOD is a "rock" in one sense; whilst His Son, Jesus the Messiah,
is a "rock" in another sense, another type/symbol.
Almighty GOD is Almighty GOD! He does not need to be given anything!
Unlike His Son, the man Christ Jesus; who indeed, was given all authority in heaven and on earth from GOD his Father.
All things that Jesus has received has been given him from the ONE GOD, his Father.
[e.g. John 3.35, 5.22,26-27, 13.3, 17.2]
Almighty GOD does not need to be given anything.
Thus, one can indeed doubt that Jesus was God in the flesh?
Because the Scriptures teach no such thing.
Neither did Jesus nor any of his disciples teach such a things.
Jesus clealy identifies his Father
as the only true GOD.
[John 17.3]
Thus, one ought not to get metaphors/types confused.
Even in 1 Cor. 10; Paul states in verse 6 that he is speaking in types!
(examples/Greek tupos i.e. types)
The very fact that GOD is indeed the Head of Christ [1 Cor 11.3], should inform the reader that Christ himself isn't Almighty GOD,
for Almighty GOD has no head!!
