HOUSE

Hebrews 3
1 Wherefore, holy brethren, partakers of the heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our profession, Christ Jesus; 2 Who was faithful to him that appointed him, as also Moses was faithful in all his house. 3 For this man was counted worthy of more glory than Moses, inasmuch as he who hath builded the house hath more honour than the house. 4 For every house is builded by some man; but he that built all things is God. 5 And Moses verily was faithful in all his house, as a servant, for a testimony of those things which were to be spoken after; 6 But Christ as a son over his own house; whose house are we, if we hold fast the confidence and the rejoicing of the hope firm unto the end.

LJG-Jesus has built us as His houses. He rules over His house with loving care and patient kindness. He picks us up when we fall down, He brushes us off, and gives us the strength to keep holding fast to Him and His love. We have no worry or any concern as long as we realize that Jesus is there to provide all things for His houses. Whatever we do in His Name He will reward. He sees all we think and knows all our needs. He is our provider, we need nothing more.

We must not be like the people under Moses who didn't believe. We are to believe and live in that faith, hope and joy of the coming of our blessed Christ Jesus.

RECJ-The New Testament, the Testament of our Saviour Christ Jesus. Judaism of the Old Testament boasted of God and angels, we heard of Moses, and Aaron the high priest. Hebrews unfolds with news that Jesus is superior to angels, to Moses, and to Aaron, that the new covenant of life made by Him is superior to the old covenant.
God is now in the New Testament showing us Christ is the One appointed by God to accomplish God's plan and we are partners in that divine interest. Jesus was anointed by God, and since the Son is God, He is the eternal Lord. We in turn are His House, the place where He resides.

God is known by many Names, but it is only through the Name of Jesus Christ that we can be saved. Being saved we become His house, His belonging, His children.
To think on today--How are you taking care of your [Jesus’] house?
