SUNDAY EDITORIAL

OH, MY _ _ _

I could never fully understand why the Jewish people would not even write the word God. Today I got up to read my e-mails and there in my craft letter is a item that is "Oh my god I have to wear these".

I am one of those people that will tell anyone that uses God's name with a cuss word behind it to "Not my Father's Name". I am offended at the common use of God's name. There is very little respect for God, even if you do not believe in Him, could you please stop it. I don't cuss your Mother or Father, do not use their names when I get mad. Nor do I say 'Oh my mother I have to wear these".

The Jewish people will not write the Name of God in case that paper might be torn or thrown away. To them that is an offence to God. They will not do anything that even in writing might bring harm to God's name.

For people who do not believe that Christ Jesus has come yet, I admire the respect they have for God. If they did believe in Jesus I am sure they would show the same respect to Jesus name.

We do not hear anyone using Mary's name in vane, yet they pray to her. Muhammad is another one.

God is the only one that is used in such a vulgar way. And I am not just speaking of saying God with cuss words attached. I am speaking of using His name in so many common, disrespectful ways. Yes I am saying that we over use God's name.

A Muslim will take a bath before they even touch their bible. I am thankful that I can call out to God without having to get in a certain position or face a certain way, or have prayer beads in my hand.

I can go to Him at any time and in any way. That in no way makes Him common to me. But the over use of His name to explain everything from joy to sadness to madness is out of hand.

Praise God in all His glory. Praise God going out and coming in. Praise Him in the morning and in the noon day sun. Praise Him before you go to sleep and when you wake in the morning hours.

Do not use Him to express your common everyday remarks, that use His name in an offence way.

God Bless Indeed
