SPIRITUAL MEANING OF THE ARK

The Ark is an important picture of the salavation provided by Christ who today is our Ark of safety.

Let us look briefly at the Ark compared to our lifes.

The Ark was the only safe haven in a world of turmult. By trusting and being apart from the world, while yet a part in the world, being not of the world. We can enter into rest. A safe place under the protection of God where the worst that can come against those in the world can also come against us, but not touch us. While the world in which we live is tossed and turned, we though knowing what is about us are safe.

Jesus is our Ark of safety as the Ark was to Noah. Noah could feel the ark lifting off the ground, could feel the water beating down on the roof, waves washing against the sides of the boat. All around him shaken and tossed, but touch him, it could not.

As the Ark was to Noah, so Jesus is to us.

He is our protection, our cover, our delieverer, our provider.

There was only one way into the Ark, Acts 4:12 tells us there is only one way to God and that is through Jesus Christ. Noah and his family were secure in the ark, as we who have asked Christ into our life's are secure.

God Bless Indeed
