THE END/THE REST OF THE STORY

Good morning faithful readers. As you know we have been down for a week now. Last Tuesday night I told God if it was meant for us to continue doing the sites that the computer would be up and running Wednesday morning, July 16. Well, it wasn't!!!

It is with a tearful and sorrowful heart that I yield to God admitting this season in our life is over. The journey has been so very interesting and wonderful and I do thank God that He allowed me to be a part of this precious period of my life.

To our very special faithful readers, Barbara, Betty, Michelle and Kathy, it has been such a pleasure getting to know each of ya'll. Each of you will be in my heart forever.

God's Blessings to each of you as I wait for God to show me the next interesting and wonderful journey in the next seasons of life.

LJG

THE REST OF THE STORY

This is not the end, it is a new beginning.

It has been a pleasure serving the Lord on these sites. This was a part of my journey that started in asking questions as to why we believed what we believed. We have sought to encourage others to pray, seek the Lord and to accept God’s Word as the final and only say concerning your salvation.

As one season closes, I know that the Lord is opening another door for me. The Lord has shown me some of where that door will lead. My Father has always shown me His sense of humor, and with that He has had me laughing at some of what He has shown me. I laugh not at Him, but with Him at some of what He has planned for me that I never would have thought of. As always He knows best.

To each of you, thank you. Those of you that left comments were surely used by God to let me know that someone was reading these sites.

If I have any final words to say it is to seek after a deeper relationship in all ways with the Lord. With that said my final article is below. Enjoy, laugh and think about it.

I remain yours in Christ always. God bless you.

YOU SAY YOU’VE ASKED THE LORD INTO YOUR LIFE

You say you asked the Lord into your life, so what are you doing with Him? Even better what are you letting Him do with you?

WWJD What Would Jesus Do? What would you do that is like Jesus?

Would Jesus have that in His home? Then what are you doing with it in yours?

Jesus made time for everyone who approached Him. Who have you made time for today?

Jesus was never to busy, or tired, or had too much to do. What more could you have done today?

Jesus never said I’ll do it later. What have you postponed today?

Jesus noticed a man in a tree, a woman touching His robe. Who wanted your attention today that you over looked?

Jesus didn’t bring more on Himself then He could bear. What have you brought on yourself today?

Jesus had the freedom to choose. What have you chose?

Jesus knew the entire Bible. How many scriptures do you know?

Jesus loved the Father more then anyone or anything else. Who or what do you love the most?

Jesus scarified it all. What have you gave up?

Jesus fell to His knees in the Garden of Gethsemane. How many times have you slipped and fell, not in prayer?

In Another World the Young and the Restless sought the Bold and the Beautiful. What have you sought?

And with that I will say goodnight John Boy.

SPIRITUAL INSIGHT FIVE

In all thy ways acknowledge Him. Proverbs 3:6

Source: Christiansunite.com

WORD OF WISDOM
GIFT ~ Simply a thing given (Matthew 7:11; Luke 11:13; Ephesians 4:8); sacrifical (Matthew 5:23, 24; 8:4); eleemosynary{ALMS, of, relating to, or supported by charity} (Luke 21:1); a gratuity (John 4:10; Acts 8:20). In Acts 2:38 the generic word dorea is rendered "gift." It differs from the charisma (1 Corinthians 12:4) as denoting not miraculous powers but the working of a new spirit in men, and that spirit from God

This week we have been looking at scriptures that we can pray on to have spiritual insight. What we have received from God is the most precious gift that can be given to anyone. This gift, the salvation of Christ, is not something to go home and sit and ponder over, and leave at home when you go out into the world. It is a gift that you ponder and study then you go into the world to share with all.

I pray that each of you have many times sat and pondered over the amazing grace that set you free, and gave praise to the Lord for rescuing us from where we were. Oh to sit and tell the Lord how thankful we are for His grace, His forgiveness, His many blessings in our life.

Spiritual insight is desiring to grow. It is taking authority over the devil and binding him in any way he might try to hinder you from carrying this message to the world. It is being a laborer to take the message of Jesus Christ to any and everyone that we meet. It is our inheritance, which is rich indeed. It is being filled with all wisdom and understanding walking fully pleasing to the Lord. It is being rooted and built up in Christ. Established in faith, confident that He will complete the work that He has started in you.

The scripture in Ephesians 1:17 says ‘may give to you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him. It does not say give you wisdom, but the Spirit of. Verse 18 says ‘that you may know what is the hope of His calling,’ what is His calling in your life? It might be as a pastor, teacher, or even a janitor, but your main job duty is to share the Word of God, too reach others whatever your calling.

Father I pray that each person reading this will be rooted and built up in You, that today they will reach others, that their territory will be enlarged. Thank You in Jesus Name, Amen.

God Bless,

SPIRITUAL INSIGHT FOUR

And I say unto you, Ask, and it shall be given you; seek,
and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you.
Luke 11:9

WORD OF WISDOM
CONFIDENCE ~ kon'-fi-dens (baTach, and forms, kecel; parrhesia; peitho, pepoithesis, hupostasis): The chief Hebrew word translated "confidence" (baTach, and its forms) means, perhaps, radically, "to be open," showing thus what originated the idea of "confidence"; where there was nothing hidden a person felt safe; it is very frequently rendered "trust." In Ps 118:8,9 we have "It is better to take refuge in Yahweh than to put confidence in princes," and in 65:5, "O God of our salvation, thou that art the confidence (mibhTach) of all the ends of the earth." MibhTach is translated "confidence" in Job 18:14; 31:24; Prov 21:22, etc.
Kecel ("firmness," "stoutness") is rendered "confidence" in Prov 3:26, and kiclah in Job 4:6; peitho ("to persuade") is translated "confidence" in 2 Cor 2:3; Gal 5:10, etc.; pepoithesis, in 2 Cor 1:15; 8:22, etc.; hupostasis ("what stands under"), in 2 Cor 11:17; Heb 3:14; 2 Cor 9:4; parrhesia ("out-spokenness," "boldness") is invariably translated in the Revised Version (British and American) "boldness" (Acts 28:31; Heb 3:6; 4:16; 10:35; 1 Jn 2:28; 3:21; 5:14); tharseo or tharrheo ("to have good courage") is so translated in the Revised Version (British and American), "being therefore always of good courage" (2 Cor 5:6); "I am of good courage concerning you" (2 Cor 7:16), the King James Version "confident" and "confidence."
The Bible teaches the value of confidence (Isa 30:15; Heb 10:35), but neither in "gold" (Job 31:24), nor in man, however great (Ps 118:8,9; Jer 17:5), nor in self (Prov 14:16; Phil 3:3), but in God (Ps 65:5; Prov 3:26; 14:26), as revealed in Christ (Eph 3:12; 1 Jn 5:13,14).

Philippians 1:6 (King James Version) 6 Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:

1 John 5:14-15 14 And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us: 15 And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.
Thank You that we can be confident that whatever good work You start in us, You will see it performed. Confident also in that anything we ask according to Your will, You will hear and we will have those petitions. What a Mighty God we serve.

God Bless,

SPIRITUAL INSIGHT THREE

Paul teaches Christian self-restraint. 1 Corinthians 9:19-27

Source: Christiansunite.com

WORD OF WISDOM
WISDOM ~ moral rather than an intellectual quality. To be "foolish" is to be godless (Psalm 14:1; Comp. Judges 19:23; 2 Samuel 13:13. True wisdom is a gift from God to those who ask it (Job 28:12-28; Proverbs 3:13-18; Romans 1:22; 16:27; 1 Corinthians 1:17-21; 2:6-8; James 1:5). "Wisdom" in Proverbs 1:20; 8:1; 9:1-5 may be regarded not as a mere personification of the attribute of wisdom, but as a divine person, "Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God" (1 Corinthians 1:24). In Matthew 11:19 it is the personified principle of wisdom that is meant.

Colossians 1:9-12 [King James Version] 9 For this cause we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to desire that ye might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding; 10 That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God; 11 Strengthened with all might, according to his glorious power, unto all patience and longsuffering with joyfulness; 12 Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light:

Colossians 2:6-10 [King James Version] 6 As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in him: 7 Rooted and built up in him, and established in the faith, as ye have been taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving. 8 Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ. 9 For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily. 10 And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power:

Father today we give thanks to You for making us partakers in this inheritance. Walking in what we have received; rooted and grounded as we have been taught, careful of those that have followed after man made traditions. We thank You that we are complete in You Father, who is the head of all.

SPIRITUAL INSIGHT TWO

Source: Christiansunite.com

WORD OF WISDOM
REVELATION ~ An uncovering, a bringing to light of that which had been previously wholly hidden or only obscurely seen. God has been pleased in various ways and at different times (Hebrews 1:1) to make a supernatural revelation of himself and his purposes and plans, which, under the guidance of his Spirit, has been committed to writing. The Scriptures are not merely the "record" of revelation; they are the revelation itself in a written form, in order to the accurate presevation and propagation of the truth.

Source: Easton's Bible Dictionary

Revelation and inspiration differ. Revelation is the supernatural communication of truth to the mind; inspiration (q.v.) secures to the teacher or writer infallibility in communicating that truth to others. It renders its subject the spokesman or prophet of God in such a sense that everything he asserts to be true, whether fact or doctrine or moral principle, is true, infallibly true

Ephesians 1:16-18 16 do not cease to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers. 17 that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him 18 the eye of your understanding being enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of the glory of His inheritance in the saints,

Praying always that God will give you a spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him. May your eyes of understanding be enlightened in knowing what the hope of your inheritance is.

SPIRITUAL INSIGHT ONE

WORD OF WISDOM
MYSTERY ~ The calling of the Gentiles into the Christian Church, so designated (Ephesians 1:9, 10; 3:8-11; Colossians 1:25-27); a truth undiscoverable except by revelation, long hid, now made manifest. The resurrection of the dead (1 Corinthians 15:51), and other doctrines which need to be explained but which cannot be fully understood by finite intelligence (Matthew 13:11; Romans 11:25; 1 Corinthians 13:2); the union between Christ and his people symbolized by the marriage union (Ephesians 5:31, 32; Comp. 6:19); the seven stars and the seven candlesticks (Revelation 1:20); and the woman clothed in scarlet (17:7), are also in this sense mysteries. The anti-Christian power working in his day is called by the apostle (2 Thessalonians 2:7) the "mystery of iniquity."

Matthew 9:38 Therefore pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest.

2 Thessalonians 3:11 Finally, brethren pray for us, that the Word of the Lord may run swiftly and be glorified, just as it is with you.

Ephesians 6:19 and for me, that utterance may be given to me, that I may open my mouth boldly to make known the mystery of the gospel.

Colossians 4:3 meanwhile praying also for us that God would open to us a door for the Word to speak the mystery of Christ, for which I am also in Christ.

We pray that we will be laborers that go out for the harvest. Let us speak the mystery [hidden truth] of Christ, no matter what situation we might be in.

SUNDAY EDITORIAL

WORD OF WISDOM
PROPHET ~ Any one being a spokesman for God to man might thus be called a prophet. Thus Enoch, Abraham, and the patriarchs, as bearers of God's message (Genesis 20:7; Exodus 7:1; Psalm 105:15), as also Moses (Deuteronomy 18:15; 34:10; Hosea 12:13), are ranked among the prophets. The seventy elders of Israel (Numbers 11:16-29), "when the spirit rested upon them, prophesied;" Asaph and Jeduthun "prophesied with a harp" (1 Chronicles 25:3). Miriam and Deborah were prophetesses (Exodus 15:20; Judges 4:4). The title thus has a general application to all who have messages from God to men.

Praise the Lord. I am blessed going out and coming in. Much is going on in my life that is bringing about many changes in many things.

I am in a new department at work, with a wonderful group of ladies that work together, including the manager who works side by side with us. It also means an increase in hours, and later hours at night. What is most amazing about work is the Christians seem to be ‘coming out.’ P and I have never hidden our love for the Lord, be it in the break room, outside or in the store aisle. We have laughed at how others seem to be drawn to us when we start a conversation, and that is something we do not mind. The only thing we do talk about is Christ. We recently saw a healing of a young lady we prayed for in another department, yes in the store. She was so excited, and is now standing on the word of God for further healing in her body. My department manager was also healed of a bad headache one day. I must share this account with you though. When I first got to her department she said pray for an increase in sales, to which I said I already have. Well the other day she told me you must have been praying this is too much. Yes our profits have increased over and above what was being sold before and for this weekend holiday, we have already increased over a thousand dollars in our department, compared to last year during the 4th of July holiday. God is awesome isn’t He? And I must mention the young man who is a stocker who noticed me walking slow one day and asked what was wrong, I was not my usual self. I told him my feet were swollen, which they were after an 11-hour shift. He looked at me and said I will pray for you. Shock, neither P or I had any idea he was a Christian, and yes my feet shortly after I got home were suddenly normal.

Yes the Christians are ‘coming out’ and we, P and I both love it. Others are asking for prayer and if I bring scriptures to work for one person another is asking for a copy.

P is a young man at work that we honestly do not know how we started talking. He is an assistant Pastor at our church. Yes I said our church; I will share that in a moment. But P is such an encouragement to me. We look for each other to share a Word, or anything that God is doing in our life’s. People at work at first thought something was going on between us, which it was, they just couldn’t figure out what it was. We have had people just come up and listen to us talk, and a few even asked what was up. We tell them we love God.

Yes I have found a church, P invited me to a revival at his church, where a young evangelist from another church was speaking, and I went. Needless to say as good as the young man was I was drawn in the Spirit to P’s Pastor. I knew there was something about his man of God that I wanted to know more about. Well I attended services and between him and his wife, I knew this is where I am to be. They are both so on fire for the Lord, and they are teachers, which is important to me. I know that being under them will be a valuable lesson and experience.

As we grow we change and with those changes come new challenges, and adjustments. With this also comes changes that directly and indirectly affect those around us. As you have noticed I have not been writing on a regular basis as I used to. I have not been pleased with my writing lately, feeling rushed to get an article done for tomorrow. I wanted to stop writing, as my best was not good enough. I spoke to LJG and my heart knows the joy she receives from getting the sites up each day for the Lord. I also knew that I could not go on as before.

After today I will not be writing an article each day. I will be doing a scripture of the day and an article on Friday. This way I can put more time into doing what I love to do, researching and writing, but still have a post for each day.

We pray that those of you who are our regular readers will continue to read us and be enlightened by His word. As always we encourage all to pray and study the Word and seek God for yourself. We all need words of encouragement and that is what we have strived to do.

Never forsake the gathering together of the body of Christ. We will remain as always here to encourage you to seek Him and seek Him more abundantly.

God Bless,
rECj/LJG

BY FAITH

From The Parallel Bible NIV 1st then The Message: Hebrews 11:8-10 & Hebrews 11:13-16

"By faith Abraham, when called to go to a place he would later receive as his inheritance, obeyed and went, even though he did not know where he was going. By faith he made his home in the promised land like a stranger in a foreign country; he lived in tents, as did Isaac and Jacob, who were heirs with him of the same promise. For he was looking forward to the city with foundations, whose architec and builder is God."

The Message: "By an act of faith, Abraham said yes to God's call to travel to an unknown place that would become his home. When he left he had no idea where he was going. By an act of faith he lived in the country promised him, lived as a stranger camping in tents. Isaac and Jacob did the same, living under the same promise. Abraham did it by keeping his eye on an unseen city with real, eternal foundations--the City designed and built by God."

How does this relate to your own life experiences? For me, well I did have idea in the beginning of the journey. Back in 2004 when I had no idea when or what I would do after my dad either passed away or was in a nursing home being taken care of. The Lord had me get a metro phone book and look under the apartments section. My eyes fell upon ParkView Apts in Elgin Texas. Not long after that I got a car and was able to get out and about some. I took a trip to Elgin and was led straight to the apartment complex The Lord had shown me earlier. I looked around and knew that when the time came, this is where my first tent so to speak would be set up. Sure enough on Dec. 16, 2005 I moved in to that complex. I got my new start in life, made new friends and looked up old friends. The Lord helped me to rebuild my self-confidence and get a fresh vision.

"All these people were still living by faith when they died. they did not receive the things promised; they only saw them and welcomed them from a distance. And they admitted that they were aliens and strangers on earth. People who say such things show that they are looking for a country of their own. If they had been thinking of the country they had left, they would have had opportunity to return. Instead, they were longing for a better country--a heavenly one. Therefore God is not ashamed to be called their God, for he has prepared a city for them."

The Message: "Each one of these people of faith died not yet having in hand what was promised, but still believing. How did they do it? They saw it way off in the distance, waved their greeting, and accepted the fact that they were transients in this world. People who live this way make it plain that they are looking for their true home. If they were homesick for the old country, they could have gone back any time they wanted. But they were after a far better country than that--heaven country. You can see why God is so proud of them, and has a City waiting for them."

I have learned during this transition phase or season of my life living by faith day to day. I have had the opportunity to decide to a degree what I want in this life, I could have returned to Bastrop, but I know that there is something more ahead, when and what exactly I do not know, but I wait in faith for whatever God has planned for me.

THE WOODEN BOWL

Christiansunite.com

I guarantee you will remember the tale of the Wooden Bowl

tomorrow, a week from now, a month from now, a year from now.

A frail old man went to live with his son, daughter-in-law,

and four-year - old grandson.

The old man's hands trembled, his eyesight was blurred,

and his step faltered.

The family ate together at the table.

But the elderly grandfather's shaky hands and

failing sight made eating difficult.

Peas rolled off his spoon onto the floor.

When he grasped the glass, milk spilled on the tablecloth.

The son and daughter-in-law became irritated with the mess.
'We must do something about father,' said the son.

'I've had enough of his spilled milk, noisy eating,

and food on the floor.'

So the husband and wife set a small table in the corner.

There, Grandfather ate alone while

the rest of the family enjoyed dinner.

Since Grandfather had broken a dish or two,

his food was served in a wooden bowl.

When the family glanced in Grandfather's direction,

sometimes he had a tear in his eye as he sat alone.

Still, the only words the couple had for him were sharp admonitions when he dropped a fork or spilled food.

The four-year-old watched it all in silence.

One evening before supper, the father noticed

his son playing with wood scraps on the floor.

He asked the child sweetly, 'What are you making?'

Just as sweetly, the boy responded,

'Oh, I am making a little bowl for you and

Mama to eat your food in when I grow up.'

The four-year-old smiled and went back to work.

The words so struck the parents so that they were speechless.

Then tears started to stream down their cheeks.

Though no word was spoken, both knew what must be done.

That evening the husband took Grandfather's hand
and gently led him back to the family table.

For the remainder of his days he ate every meal with the family.

And for some reason, neither husband nor wife seemed

to care any longer when a fork was dropped, milk spilled,

or the tablecloth soiled.

God's Blessings to each of you,
LJG?rECj

WORD OF WISDOM
HOPE ~ One of the three main elements of Christian character (1 Corinthians 13:13). It is joined to faith and love, and is opposed to seeing or possessing (Romans 8:24; 1 John 3:2). "Hope is an essential and fundamental element of Christian life, so essential indeed, that, like faith and love, it can itself designate the essence of Christianity (1 Peter 3:15; Hebrews 10:23). In it the whole glory of the Christian vocation is centred (Ephesians 1:18; 4:4)." Unbelievers are without this hope (Ephesians 2:12; 1 Thessalonians 4:13). Christ is the actual object of the believer's hope, because it is in his second coming that the hope of glory will be fulfilled (1 Timothy 1:1; Colossians 1:27; Titus 2:13). It is spoken of as "lively", i.e., a living, hope, a hope not frail and perishable, but having a perennial life (1 Peter 1:3). In Romans 5:2 the "hope" spoken of is probably objective, i.e., "the hope set before us," namely, eternal life (Comp. 12:12). In 1 John 3:3 the expression "hope in him" ought rather to be, as in the Revised Version, "hope on him," i.e., a hope based on God.

Galatians 2:20 (King James Version) I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.
Colossians 1:26-27 (King James Version) 26 Even the mystery which hath been hid from ages and from generations, but now is made manifest to his saints: 27 To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory:
Ephesians 2:1, And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins; 4 But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us, 5 Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;) 6 And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus:
Philippians 4:19 (King James Version) But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.
Ephesians 1:3 (King James Version) 3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:

We are crucified with Christ, we don’t have to try to do it, we are, and Christ lives in us. We were quickened and made alive with Him. Today we sit in a position with Christ in heavenly places. All our needs are supplied.

It does not say He is going to bless us with anything-it says He says He already has. What this means is that from the time you were born again until you step into eternity, He has already made provision for you. Everything you need, He has already blessed you with. In The mind of Christ it is yours.

Step into the provisions that have been set up for you His children, they are found in His Word. Find them and make them into reality in your life in Christ to the glory of God the Father.
