GOD ON THE UNBORN

THE UNBORN CHILD

Psalm 139:13-16
King James Version (KJV)
13For thou hast possessed my reins: thou hast covered me in my mother's womb.
14I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well.
15My substance was not hid from thee, when I was made in secret, and curiously wrought in the lowest parts of the earth.
16Thine eyes did see my substance, yet being unperfect; and in thy book all my members were written, which in continuance were fashioned, when as yet there was none of them.
MURDER
Genesis 9:5-6
King James Version (KJV)
5And surely your blood of your lives will I require; at the hand of every beast will I require it, and at the hand of man; at the hand of every man's brother will I require the life of man.
6Whoso sheddeth man's blood, by man shall his blood be shed: for in the image of God made he man.
Proverbs 24:11-12
King James Version (KJV)
11If thou forbear to deliver them that are drawn unto death, and those that are ready to be slain;
12If thou sayest, Behold, we knew it not; doth not he that pondereth the heart consider it? and he that keepeth thy soul, doth not he know it? and shall not he render to every man according to his works?

FORGIVENESS
Isaiah 1:18
King James Version (KJV)
18Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool
Psalm 103:3
King James Version (KJV)
3Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases;
1 John 1:9
King James Version (KJV)
9If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

THE FINAL WORD
Jeremiah 1:5
King James Version (KJV)
5Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations.

This should answer all questions about unborn children.

LOVE PURE GOD LOVE

1 John 4:12 (KJV)
12No man hath seen God at any time. If we love one another, God dwelleth in us, and his love is perfected in us.

How do we show God's love.

1 Corinthians 13:1-7 (KJV)
1Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal.
2And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing.
3And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, and have not charity, it profiteth me nothing.
4Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up,
5Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil;
6Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth;
7Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things.

It is hard to look at some of the people we come in contact with and think of loving them. But we can reassure you that if you do it will be a life changing experience. We are sure that even when we mess up we still desire for the Lord to look on us with love and compassion. Well no more than He is finished with us, He is not finished with others, as long as they have a breathe of life.

Remember God created all, even those that hate Him. Has someone ever hurt your feelings so bad you cried. Think about how the Lord felt when He looked down on us while we were still in sin. Even now! And you can even think to look at others without love. Oh God forgive us all. Lord open our eyes to see others as You see them.

God have mercy on our souls, and Bless Us.

REACTION TO ACTION

Proverbs 12:16 A fool's wrath is presently known : but a prudent man covereth shame. 17 He that speaketh truth sheweth forth righteousness: but a false witness deceit. 18 There is that speaketh like the piercings of a sword: but the tongue of the wise is health.

How do we respond to criticism? Lets us break down the above scripture. We know a fool by their actions, a prudent [practical, sensible, discreet, reasonable] man covers shame. How? With his behavior [the truth]. And yes criticism can be correction.

We have all hear that expression 'we are known by the words we speak'. All of us would love to take back some of the unthinkable words that have come out of our mouths. Those word are just what it says--unthinkable--we did not think before we spoke.

At the same time when others speak without thinking to us, do we in turn think before we speak back to that which was spoken to us.

When I first met Harold, the man of God would get on my nerves. You could ask him the simplest question and had to wait for an answer. Harold did what we all need to do, he thought before he spoke on anything. As I came to know him, my respect for him grew and grew. You could actually see him thinking about what he was going to say before he spoke.

Today our challenge to you is to stop and think before you speak. WWJD can easily be translated into WWJS [What Would Jesus Say]. Try it out and see how your day goes.

God Bless

TRUST

Faith in God, I wonder now if I have it! It has seemed somewhat elusive to me, yet I cannot remember a time when I didn't know of the existence of my Heavenly Father. So I ask myself, "why have there been times in my life I didn't trust that I was important enough to Him to have Him answer me?"

Back in 1989 I wanted to ask God for permission to write a certain book. It would be filled with stories of God's miracles in the lives of others. I hesitated to put forth the question, "Do you want me to write this book?" I was so insecure. My life was in somewhat of a shambles at the time.

My only son was killed in a car accident in July of that year and finding a balance, some kind of harmony, was sort of like walking a path filled with areas of quicksand. When wonderful, inexplicable events began happening three months after the death of my son, Jason, I knew these were "of God."

In the first "happening," Jason stood beside me and spoke with me. I could smell his aftershave. (He was 17 years old when he died and had only been using aftershave for a few months.) Yes, I believed I would see him again someday, in Heaven, but here he was comforting me three months after his death! I had been in a church at a funeral when this took place and I left there with a feeling of warmth in my chest, a connection with the Spirit and a thankfulness that God loved me enough to give this gift to me!

As days passed, strangers, began telling me about similar events in their respective lives. Each story touched my soul and a little part of me healed. I realized how much others needed to hear these stories. I knew word of these events would ease the pain for those individuals who were grieving for a loved one. I began gathering the stories intending they would become a book.

Doubt is a bad thing. It can stop us in our tracks! I felt I needed God's permission to write such a book and realized I was afraid He would not answer me if I asked for His permission. My doubt stopped me cold and I knew I would not write the book.

More than two and a half years later, in November of 1992, God indicated He did indeed give me His seal of approval to write such a book. I was ecstatic, mostly because "here was God talking to me and answering a question I never even had the faith to put to Him." There it was, not only does He love me but I am significant enough for Him to contact me. A most wondrous part of all of this is He confirmed for me eight times that He indeed was there for me, and "YES" He wanted me to move forward and write the book!

As I began the tedious task of gathering the stories I was soon to see that my Heavenly Father continued to be close. I had no way of telling people I was gathering these types of stories and I did not feel comfortable going public, through newspaper or other media. However, regularly, and at every turn, as people were crossing paths with me, they spoke openly and freely of the miracles in their own lives and gave permission for me to record them. Many of the stories were similar to my own.

I found it amazing, this trust of strangers. The stories they were sharing were precious and had been so valuable to them they had kept them private. Many people I spoke with had only told one or two people of the comforting miracle each had received. Why was it strangers were telling me of things that often their best friends and relatives did not know? I knew it was God working with us. He was encouraging a trust between us.

Why was this coming together with such ease? My husband commented, "It was as if Ellie became a magnet." And I realized, surely God had made me like a magnet. He not only gave his seal of approval, He was working with me on the project. I think more realistically, I was working with Him. We were all working with Him, with a single goal in mind.

After more than four years of gathering, organizing and editing, the book was published. It had been an awe-inspiring time. I felt I had been on a long walk of healing.

The pathway was filled with God-moments. These were times when I could feel the presence of God working in my life. He showed me much during these 50 months of recording and then typing the wondrous results. I learned so much about myself and my relationship with my Creator. This project of working on the book, "A Little Door, A Little Light " was a time of great healing for me. My relationship with God was strengthened. My overwhelming grief, due to the death of Jason, was eased with each story I recorded. I cried a river, or perhaps an ocean, during those years of research. The tears were healing tears, full of thankfulness for the goodness of God as He ministers to His children. His works, the miracles in the lives of thousands, shore us up. He teaches as He gives.

He loves me enough to answer me.

PRAY FOR OUR PRESIDENT

Come on don't get angry with me. The Bible says to pray for our leaders and we can all see very clearly that this person needs all our prays. The Bible also tells us it is okay to get angry [remember JESUS in the temple] but we are to sin not.

Well I will tell you how angry I am. I had taken a few days off. No writing, just time with the family and myself. This made me come out of my hole. Look as Christians we have to speak out. Again and again we see this person removing traditions that this country has celebrated for years.

Now understand us on this. Traditions are practices that we pass down from generation to generation. We believe in God and follow His word. We also have traditions in our families that do not separate us from God, if anything they strengthen us and our families, and in doing so bring us closer to God.

What makes me so angry right now is if you ask almost any religious group they will tell you there is one God. That includes those that do not believe in Jesus Christ, or believe that He was born of a virgin and died for our sins. So by not mentioning God this person is not only insulting Christians , he is insulting every religious group there is. That is except for those that do not believe in a supreme being.

Think about that for a bit. What does it bring to mind about our President? You decide for yourself.

The President of the United States of America is suppose to represent all of the people, not to put his personal views on us. That would have been like President John F. Kennedy asking us all to be catholic. Get a grip, we are different.

God the God of Abraham, Issac and Jacob, God who took the form of a human to come to this earth and be killed for our sins, not any of his own sins, as He had none. My sins, and yes your sins. Think about that for a bit. Think of everything wrong thing you have ever done or for that matter thought. Jesus was beat for those sins, each and every one of them. Would you stand by while someone took credit for something your son did. Be angry but sin not. Pray again I ask that you pray for this person.

And no we do not call him a man. We will say he is our President, but NO we will not call him anything but a person. [That is within our rights as American Citizens]

ONE HUG

Being a nursing aid in a home for the elderly, one never seemed to be amazed at anything. This cool September morning the minister’s wife and her daughter came to the home to visit the residents. The residents always looked forward to the minister’s wife visit but this was special, she was bringing her daughter.

Sitting in a corner of the living area was an elderly lady named Grace. Grace was so unhappy and it seemed that nothing could comfort her. Her families had brought her here over a year ago and have visited only once. Many families did that but some of the residents could deal with it while Grace could not.

Grace’s chin was on her chest and her white hair fell forward covering her face where silent tears rolled unto pale cheeks.

The young girl looked over at her and walked over to the darkened corner. She kneeled down and looked into moist blue eyes. A wide smile crossed her face as she said, “Hello, I am Beth, what is your name?”

Grace lifted her head and looked at the beautiful young girl who stood in front of her. She wiped the moisture from her cheek and whispered. “I am Grace, my dear; it is so nice to meet you.” A soft smile appeared on her face as she looked into the excited green eyes of the young lady standing before her.

Beth leaned over and gave Grace a big hug.

We all stood there with mouths wide open. Beth hugged Grace, and Grace hugged her back. In the whole year of her being in the home no one could ever remember her smiling let alone give a hug. Wow! The aids were amazed and even tears fell freely. That one act of kindness from a young girl who was only 8, made a big difference in another’s life.

Beth visited with her mother often and always went straight to Grace for her hug. They would visit and smile and laugh, they became such wonderful friends.

Over four years passed and Beth was always there for her visit with Grace. Then one day she came Grace was not in her corner. She skipped down to her room thinking she was resting. The room was dark and empty.

The head nurse seen her and walked slowly towards her. “Beth, I so wanted to catch you before you came and I did call but you had already left. Honey, Grace passed away late last night”

Beth looked at the nurse and said, “Oh my, Grace told me that she would soon be with her Lord. She has gone home to be with Jesus. She was so looking forward to that. Told me she would miss me but for me not to worry for she would be so very happy.”

A tear ran down Beth’s cheek, as she added, “I shall so miss her. I did so love her.”

The nurse watched Beth as she walked away. She wondered if that young lady had any idea of just how many lives she had touched with one hug.

Beth walked slowly; she was filled with so many emotions. Yes, she would so miss her Grace but she was so happy that Grace was home with Jesus.

Grace’s family made the arrangements for the funeral but Beth was not told where or when. This broke her heart. Still every week she would go to the nursing home and chat and hug the beautiful people there.

Years later, Beth was in charge of a large nursing home in the state of Ohio. She loved her work and she insisted that anyone working there would treat the residents with respect and dignity. Beth always told those who asked that she is working in the nursing home because of a wonderful precious lady named Grace. Grace had shown her how important all people are.

Today was a special day for Beth and the residents; Beth was bringing her daughter Grace to work with her. Everyone was looking forward to that.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING

What a wonderful day for most of us. The family and friends gather around, reminiscing about times past, catching up on the latest news, enjoying each other’s company. Yes a wonderful day. But what of those alone, in shelters, those without family. The old sitting by himself or herself, watching out the window for someone, anyone to come for a visit.

We with family are very blessed and for this, we should be thankful. Think of those without today and if possible share your home and meal with someone who is without.

DO YOU KNOW WHAT YOU ARE CALLED TO DO?

by Rick Renner

Not as though I had already attained, either were already perfect. - Philippians 3:12

I have no doubt as to what God has called me to do with my life. He has called me to preach the Gospel and to help establish the Church in regions of the world that are unstable, difficult, and unchurched. That is my calling, and I am very confident of this fact. But for me to fulfill this divine call on my life requires hard work, attention, and a determination to never stop until I have achieved exactly what Jesus intended for me to achieve with my life.

When you look at the life of the apostle Paul, you'll find it very evident that he emphatically knew his calling. Furthermore, he was able to concretely express it and often wrote of it in his epistles. Over and over again, he wrote that he was an apostle to the Gentiles (Galatians 2:8). Paul lived, breathed, ate, and slept and awoke every day to the call of God that was on his life.

When Paul was in a Roman prison with the prospect of death staring him in the face, he never gave up because he knew he hadn't yet fulfilled the entire plan God had revealed to him. I personally believe that reaching his God-given goal was in Paul's mind when he wrote, "Not as though I had already attained, either were already perfect." (Philippians 3:12).

The word "perfect" is the Greek word teleo. It refers to something that is ripe, mature, perfect, or complete. It suggests that Paul meant, "I have done a lot and accomplished much in comparison to others, but I haven't yet brought my assignment to completion. The job is not finished. I have not yet completed what God has called me to do."

During his multiple years of serving the Lord, Paul had achieved more than any other Christian leader of his time. He had preached on different continents, traveled to the countries of the Mediterranean Sea, and preached to governors and kings. Besides all these notable accomplishments, Paul had written the majority of the New Testament text! But none of this mattered to him because he knew he hadn't yet "attained" that for which Jesus Christ had apprehended him.

Instead of relaxing and taking it easy at the end of his life, Paul therefore turned his attention to the dream - to the unfulfilled vision or assignment that was still before him. Because there was still so much left to do, he went on to say, "I follow after." This phrase comes from the Greek word dioko, which is the word that is usually translated to persecute. Let's stop and talk about this for a moment so we can understand the full force of what Paul was writing in this verse.

The word dioko, translated as "I follow after," is a fiercely aggressive word. In historic Greek literature, it means to hunt; to pursue; to chase; to track down and kill. It is the picture of an outdoorsman who is so determined to hunt down an animal that he will stop at nothing to pursue, chase, track down, and ultimately get his game!

Do hunters accidentally bag their game, or do they strategize in their plans to get a good one each hunting season? Hunters strategize! They dream! They talk to other hunters about the best places to hunt! They dress in camouflaged clothes; then they perch themselves high up on tree branches and wait for hours upon hours for an unlucky deer to walk into their trap. Once the deer comes in range, they shoot to kill! They hunt, hound, and stalk that animal until they finally kill it. Then they throw the big catch in the back of their truck and head home with their trophy - and the prospect of many good venison meals in their future! That is exactly what Paul means when he says, "I follow after."

The apostle Paul strategized, planned, studied, and ardently followed after the call of God on his life. You could say that he hunted, hounded, and stalked the call of God with all his heart, never stopping until he could say, "I got my game!" When Paul's job was finished, he gladly said, "I have finished my course." (2 Timothy 4:7). That's when he packed it all up and went home to Heaven with his trophy - a crown of reward.

For you to achieve what God has planned for your life, it will likewise require a fierce determination to keep pressing ahead. You can never stop until every part of your God-given assignment has been fulfilled. Jogging along at a comfortable pace will never get you where you need to go. You must focus your attention on the goal and then strategize, plan, and work until you can confidently say, "I've done exactly what Jesus wanted me to do!" But be forewarned: Achieving this goal will demand your utmost concentration and undivided attention and the empowerment of the Holy Spirit.

Do you know God's plan for your life? Do you know the assignment He has designed just for you? Are you following after that divine call with all your heart? If not, today is the perfect time to start discovering and then following after God's call on your life!

MOSES AND ELIJAH - MOST IMPORTANT PROPHETS

In one of the stories from the sages of Israel, Rabbi Tanhum tells of two prophets that were "the prophets"- Moses and Elijah. Both came from the Levi tribe, both redeeming the people of Israel, Moses in the past and Elijah in the future.

When you compare those two prophets, you can find a lot of similarity in their biography. When I started to learn Biblical Hebrew in the university the first word that I needed to investigate was "prophet". I have learned that the function of the prophet isn't an easy one. On the one hand, he is very close to The Lord. He can speak with him, whether in a dream, whether in reality. However, on the other hand, the message that he needs to deliver is usually a message of punishment or warnings or rules that the people need to keep.

Elijah and Moses were the Israelites prophets in two critical points in history; Moses was the prophet in the time of the exile from Egypt, when the people of Israel discovered their G-d as a nation, not as individuals, as it was in the times of the fathers. Elijah was the prophet of Israel when they decided to check other gods, for example, Baal, the northern G-d, The G-d of storm and rain.

Let us see some points of similarity. Both built an altar for their people as written in Exodus 24:4 and 1 Kings 18:31-32-

"Moses then wrote down everything the LORD had said. He got up early the next morning and built an altar at the foot of the mountain and set up twelve stone pillars representing the twelve tribes of Israel"

"Elijah took twelve stones, one for each of the tribes descended from Jacob, to whom the word of the LORD had come, saying, “Your name shall be Israel.” With the stones he built an altar in the name of the LORD, and he dug a trench around it large enough to hold two seahs of seed"

Both escaped from a foreign figure: Moses from the King of Egypt, Elijah from Jezebel, as written in Exodus 2:15 and 1 Kings 19:2-3-

"When Pharaoh heard of this, he tried to kill Moses, but Moses fled from Pharaoh and went to live in Midian, where he sat down by a well"

" So Jezebel sent a messenger to Elijah to say, “May the gods deal with me, be it ever so severely, if by this time tomorrow I do not make your life like that of one of them.” Elijah was afraid and ran for his life. When he came to Beersheba in Judah, he left his servant there"

Both were at the mountain of God. Moses was there for forty days and nights in order to get the Torah from G-d without eating; Elijah walked to these mountains for 40 days and night, after he ate as we can read in Exodus 34:28 and 1 Kings 19:8-

"Moses was there with the LORD forty days and forty nights without eating bread or drinking water. And he wrote on the tablets the words of the covenant—the Ten Commandments"

"So he got up and ate and drank. Strengthened by that food, he traveled forty days and forty nights until he reached Horeb, the mountain of God"

When you compare those two characters you can learn not just from the similarities between them but also from the differences. One was dead before he got the chance to enter the promised land, the other didn't die at all. One is closer to G-d in his life (Deuteronomy 5:25). The other is not supposed to run away from his people (1 Kings 19:9).

WHAT ARE YOUR SIGNS?

Acts 8:6

"When the crowds heard Philip and saw the miraculous signs he did, they all paid close attention to what he said."

This is the typical sequence of an effective (or conversely ineffective) witness: people hear what you say; they look for the signs of God which are evidenced in your life based on what you have done and what you are doing; they then decide whether or not to pay attention to what you say. In Phillips case -- after they saw what he did, they all paid close attention to what he said.

Our church recently had Doug Smith speak at one of our Men's Community breakfasts. Doug, as you may know, is a great Christian man, father, husband, athlete, and coach. Over his 14 year professional football career he was a six-time Pro Bowl center for the Los Angeles Rams. Let's say for example, that Doug and I were speaking at a football technique clinic. Between Doug and I, who would you pay the most attention to? If we disagreed on a technique, whose opinion would you trust the most? The answer is clear. You would trust Doug because he has both the credentials and experience. His words would have so much more impact and importance than mine because of what he has done and what he is doing (he is also an offensive line coach for a local college, while I on the other hand have not played football since high school).

The same is true for us as we witness to others. Some big questions we need to ask ourselves are these: Are people going to "pay attention" to what we say if the substance of what God has done or is doing in our lives is not evident? How effective will our words be if the last evidence or miracle we witnessed in our life was back in "high school" (in other words, a really long time ago)?

How current is your testimony? Are you a witness to a miracle that happened years ago, or one that happened yesterday? Are you allowing God to express himself through your witness and experience right now? Why or why not? What needs to change? How will you change?

MERRY CHRISTMAS

We had planned to introduce ‘The Church Lady’ to you today. She is quite a hand full, trying so hard to be the perfect Christian, but trying also to do it her own way. Today she was reading Diane Wilson’s post [over my shoulder] about there not being Christmas trees at the white House. Well Churchie was mad as butterfly butts stuck in a spider web. She said anyone that can read the Bible knows that we should celebrate the day Christ was born, and without trees where on this Heavenly earth that God create for us to enjoy would we put our gifts. She was so mad she went in her purse and said God would have to forgive her but she would have to have a sip without the egg or the nog, even if it was not a holiday. I could see she was upset. After two good sips from her bottle, she informed me that LJG and I should inform our readers of what to do. Saying that young people who are wet behind the ears need to be reminded what this country was founded on.

Well LJG and I agree and here it is. We are asking you to send REAL Christmas cards to the President, to let him know how we feel.

We received this original post:

Diane Wilson
It was announced that there would not be Christmas trees at the White house this year. They will be called Holiday Trees. Obama says this is no longer a Christian Country, it's a country of many faiths. We as Americans must send the message to Obama that this Country was founded on Christian beliefs and we are STILL a Christian Country. Please repost this and let's stand up for CHRIST!!..I did, will you? ALL

In answer to that:
Renee' Crosby Joshua 24:15 "But if serving the Lord seems undesirable to you, then choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, But AS FOR ME AND MY HOUSEHOLD, WE WILL SERVE THE LORD." It amazes me how we elect so many that know so little about how our government was founded and where our schools started! THE BIBLE!

Renee, Churchie liked that so much, she told us to post it to, said we could not say it any better.

This is the direct quote from the White House page: President Obama is committed to creating the most open and accessible administration in American history. That begins with taking comments and questions from you, the public, through our website.

If he wants to know what the public thinks, lets let him know.

Now what follows is the address to the white House.

ASK, SEEK, KNOCK

by markbyrd

I was reading in Matthew 7 7 -12 where JESUS is describing how we as believers should live our lives. Verse 12 states “ Therefore whatever you desire for men to do to you , you shall also do to them ; for this is the Law and the Prophets.” Glory to GOD!!!

GOD has put into place in our lives a way in which we can have life in abundance. There is a pattern in Life which we can follow that depends primarily upon our Faith , and , how we use our Faith in everyday Life. I know that in my own Life as a believer I have come to develop a sense of expectancy in almost every area in my daily walk as I know that GOD hears my voice and is willing to give freely based upon my Faith and the expectations created by the aforementioned. As I continue to grow in Christ I see manifestations every day of just how much the Holy Spirit is helping me. Thank you JESUS!!!

GOD wants to Bless us!!! We need only to believe that GOD wants to Bless us and then act accordingly. The basic problem within the Church today is the fact that the Church is full of Believers who do not believe. I am not sure about the heart of others ,however , I know that as for myself Life has made me a Believer. As I have experienced more and more of GOD’S Love in my life my belief has only grown stronger and my Love for GOD , and for others , more immense. GOD is indeed Good!!!

Headed to the Well!!!

I Love you!!!!!!! Mark

DAILY REMINDERS/BUTTERFLY KISSES

Philippines 4:19 KJV But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.

I watched today as the gas company pulled up a few doors down from my house. He walked across the street with wrench in hand up to the gas meter. The young single mother of one ran outside. I don't know what happened, can only guess, as he drove off and she popped in her car and drove off. It was 15 minutes before the place to pay the bill closed.

Oh the memories that came to mind. I remember being in her shoes. Then the Holy Spirit reminded me that the gas, or water people always came to my house early on cut off day. And each time they left with the utilities still on, giving me time to have God bless me with the money to pay the bill, before they came back later that day.

I have really been shown favor in my life. There were hard times, but God always came through, on time never to late, always on time. He would do it in a way that I knew it had to be Him. He left no doubt but that He was the answer.

I call things like this butterfly kisses. I love how God works, He is the only one to thank.

I pray that today God will bless you with a butterfly kiss.

God Bless

MORE ON THE HOLY SPIRIT

In the Old Testament the Hebrew word used when speaking of the Spirit, ruwach, pronounced roo’-akh, means wind, even the wind associated with a Breathe. The New Testament Greek word pneuma, pronounced pnyoo’-mah is used which means Breathe or a Breeze. We can think of the Holy Spirit as the Breathe of God.

The Holy Spirit is omnipotent, Luke 1:35; omnipresent, Psalms 139:7; omniscient, 1 Corinthians 2:10; eternal, Hebrews 9:14; equal, Acts 5:3-4. The Holy Spirit is intelligent, has knowledge, has His own will, He makes decisions, and He loves. Furthermore He teaches, He tells the truth always, He guides, He convinces, He prays for you [Romans 8:26-27], He commands.

To think He lives inside each one of us, but how many of us spend time with Him, as we should. He is the Breathe of God living inside of each one of us. Remember when we were alive to the world and dead to Christ; now with His Breathe [the Holy Spirit] living inside of us, we are alive.

The comforter to always guide us in all areas of our lives, and this is made possible by us communicate with Him every day, all day, of our entire life’s.

We need to be responsible to embrace each part of our Lord God. Three titles that He goes by, God the Father, Jesus Christ, and The Holy Spirit. Three titles, one Supreme Being. None before, none since. Only His titles, which show us the different aspects of His Eternal Being.

God Bless

IF GOD WILL TAKE YOU TO IT

Then God will take you through it. We though take ourselves through many things that God will turn into wonderful blessings.

Imagine being the Captain of a slave trip while saying your are a Christian, As the slaves laid packed below, you lay reading the Bible. Even as we look at our life's and see imperfections there, or look back at our past, saying what was I thinking about some of our actions. I remember one man saying when he asked the Lord into his life he was driving, talking to the Lord as he chained smoked one cigarette after another. Even in reading the Bible we see God fearing men doing things they shouldn't.

God though used them, He also used the driver of that car as the man became a well-known teacher. He admits he looks back at that day and like many of us is grateful we have such a loving, forgiving God.

As for the Captain of that slave ship, it was 25 years later that he wrote one of the most well-known Christian songs we have ever heard. "Amazing Grace." Years later as he neared death, his memory failing, he said he remembered two things that he was a great sinner and Jesus was a Great Savior.

Whatever you are going through, if God is taking you, or you set yourself on the path, know this that God can and will see you through it.

God Bless

LISTENING TO OUR BETTER ANGELS

I was driving my daughter home from college for the weekend on a Fall Friday afternoon. The air was warm, the sun was shining, the sky was clear, and God’s paintbrush had just begun to color the mountains of my home. Spectacular reds, yellows, and oranges glowed from the trees and kept a smile glowing on my own face as we drove up the narrow mountain road.

As I rounded a curve I saw an old gentleman who I knew didn’t own a car walking the way we were going. I was happy then to give him a lift since it was on our way home. Two days later I was driving up the same road on a Sunday afternoon after taking my daughter back to college. A cold rain was falling from an overcast sky and the fallen leaves on the road were slick and caused me to drive extra slow. As I neared the top of the mountain road I noticed the same old gentleman only this time headed back down the mountain. He smiled and waved as we drove by and at that very moment I heard one of my better angels whispering in my ear. I listened to the gentle voice telling my heart what to do, turned my car around, and gave that kind, old man a ride back down the road. I shook his hand, accepted his thanks, and headed home.

The trip cost me 20 minutes of my time and maybe half a gallon of gas. The peace that filled my heart, though, was worth all the money in the world. I drove home singing along with the radio, wrapped in a blanket of love and joy, and surrounded by all of my better angels.

We all should listen to our better angels. We all should pay heed to those quiet voices we hear in our hearts, souls, and minds. They are a guide for good and the guidance of God. They help us to help others and ourselves. They fill us with the peace of knowing that we are living as God’s Children in this world. How do we recognize these angels? They are always the voices of love and they always lead us to joy. Listen closely then. Heaven may be speaking to your heart.

"I AM AN AMERICAN"

by Richard G. Lee

On June 2, 1995, U.S. Air Force Captain Scott O'Grady was patrolling the United Nations designated no-fly zone over war torn Bosnia when his F-16 fighter was struck by a surface-to-air missile at 27,000 feet above the Earth. He desperately pulled his ejection lever and was catapulted into the sky at 350 miles an hour. Remarkably, he managed to land unscathed in enemy territory.

For six incredible days and nights, O'Grady eluded capture by the Bosnian Serbs who relentlessly hunted him. Utilizing his survival training to the maximum, O'Grady said it was also his faith in God that sustained him. On his third day on the ground, he experienced the love of God to such a level that it took away his fear of death. On the sixth day in a daring daylight rescue, an elite team of marines moved in with a chopper, dodged enemy fire, and pulled the young American hero to safety.

At a national press conference following his triumphant return, O'Grady said, "If it wasn't for my love for God and God's love for me, I wouldn't be here right now." His inspirational and patriotic story is a brilliant testimony to Article Six of the United States Military Code of Conduct: "I will never forget that I am an American, fighting for freedom, responsible for my actions, and dedicated to the principles which made my country free. I will trust in my God and in the United States of America."

TRY TO OUT GIVE GOD

One of my favorite episodes in Scripture has Jesus telling his followers that the more they give, the more they will receive. It cannot be otherwise, he explains, because God will never be outdone in generosity. The concept of tithing is explained in a different part of Scripture, the idea that the first fruits---perhaps 10 percent of one’s earnings---should be given to God as an act of faith. (The actual money can be given to charity or church.)

It sounds simple, but putting it into practice is very difficult. We all have reasons for not giving money away, especially now when so many people are out of work completely, or earning reduced wages. But a principle is a principle, and it works all the time, not just when it seems easier to accept.

Colleen W. knows it first hand and her story is typical of how most of us take the first step. Finances had been somewhat tight for Colleen. One day she received a letter from a woman for whom she had done a favor. Inside was a gift card for $25, along with a brief “thank you” note from the woman.

Colleen hadn’t expected to be paid, and she was thrilled. She couldn’t remember the last time she had received money that had no specific destination. The possibilities, although modest, seemed endless---something to wear? Something pretty for spring? She headed out to one of her favorite stories to enjoy some browsing time before making a selection.

While wandering up and down the aisles, she passed a display of Easter bunnies and angels. And she thought immediately of Grace. Grace was a dear friend who was mourning the death of her son. He had died around Easter of last year, and the anniversary was approaching. How would Grace handle it, Colleen wondered? Grace had started a collection of angels and another of bunnies shortly after the funeral. “They just make me feel better,” she once explained to Colleen. Now Colleen was looking at a display of the same items, and…she moved closer. There was a statue of an angel holding a bunny. Just perfect for Grace. The price? A little under $25.

No, Colleen thought. I can’t spend my gift card on something for someone else… But she could and she knew it. You will be repaid, said a voice in her head, but what did that mean? Quickly, before she changed her mind, she bought the statue, went home, wrapped it and left it on Grace’s porch.

When Grace phoned, Colleen could hardly hear her through the tears. “It’s the nicest thing that’s happened to me in a long time, ”her friend told her. “How could you possibly know that I was asking God for a sign that my son is in His arms?”

Colleen cried too then. She had definitely been repaid, as the words in her head had promised. What could be more enjoyable than making someone happy?

God probably feels that way too, which is why Colleen received an unexpected check in the mail a few days later, from a utility bill overcharge. The amount? $25.

The amount? Not important. Being a part of God’s answer to prayer? Priceless.

VBFF

"Very Best Friend Forever"

LJG is my BBF[Best Friend Forever] and I am her's. We are there if we know the other needs us. We encourage each other, listen to the other dump [talk in detail about all our worries], cry over IM's and emails. We also tell each other the truth even when it hurts. After all that is what BBF are for. Our relationship has spanned over 45 years. That is a long time. Even though we were apart for years when we met again we picked up right where we left off. We share alot in common besides the articles we write and put out. We also share something else a VBFF.

Our VBFF is closer to us then we are to each other. When we are not there, He is. When the computer is down, when we are not home, when we are tied up with other things, He is always there.

This is the relationship we are suppose to have with the Holy Spirit. He is there for us to talk to and share everything. The problem is not to many Pastors teach us to have this relationship with Him. He is called the Comforter for a reason. Jesus told us that one would come after Him, to be with us. And He is, most of us don't talk to Him or know how to. The Holy Spirit is our VBFF.

Now if you have not been having a relationship with Him, it is easy. Just talk to Him like you would to your BBF. The difference is He is always there. He will not force Himself on you, but will be there whenever you call.

There is a difference in God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit, they are all though titles for the One True Living God. Next week we will share what those are. For now we encourage you to go have a talk with Him. And be sure to listen, he will talk to you also.

God Bless

JASON BRAUN

The day my world turned upside down was a day when everything felt "off" and I could not understand why it felt that way.

I was away in another city for a day and when I returned home my 17 year old son was not home. He had been away for the day competing but he should have been back. The "off" feeling grew stronger and I felt like the world was ending. Everything was weird and my feeling of panic increased.

When the police came to my door, I could not accept the news they handed me.

"Please don't tell me my son is dead. Just take me to him. He's really in the hospital and he's going to be all right." But they wouldn't take me to him and he was not all right. He had been killed on his way to compete. All that day, when I was feeling out of sorts it was because my world, as I knew it, no longer existed. Jason was gone!

I was very close to my son and when he died in a vehicle accident at the tender age of 17, I thought I would never see him again nor hear his voice, but I was wrong in my assumption. Life often holds more for us than we could ever imagine, and God in his wisdom, gives us opportunities we need to heal and to move forward. Sometimes those opportunities include communications from a loved one who has died!

It was God who helped put my world back together again. My Heavenly Father led me, comforted me and sent others to help me find my way back to harmony. God used this new time in my life to introduce me to things I had never even dreamt of. He walked with me and helped me to "see" again, but with a new perspective. And God introduced me to hundreds of people who talked to me and shared wondrous stories, stories that I recorded and eventually published in a book.

Five years after Jason's death God gave me something else I desperately ached for. Jason, of course was never far from my thoughts and one day, the pain of missing my son returned so abruptly I broke down, sobbing. Between huge gulps, I spoke to God in prayer, begging Him to give me a dream where I could once more see my tall, beautiful, blond-haired son. I pleaded. I begged. I cried. “It is very easy for you, God. This is so simple. Please, please give me this dream. I miss him so much. All I ask for is a hug. That’s easy for you, just one hug in a dream.” I cried on and begged as if my life depended upon this one thing. In those five years since his death I had dreams every night, but not once had Jason been in any dream. I ached with a mother’s heart, yearning to see my son, to hold him, if only in a dream.

God answered my prayers and I indeed got my dream. Strangely though in my dream, Jason was not the tall 17 year old son. He was much younger – he might have been seven years old. In the dream I was chastising him for something he had done. I said, “Jason don't do that. Do you want to get killed?"

And this little blue-eyed boy, my son, looked at me and spoke the most compelling words he ever uttered, “But Mom, death isn't forever".

I awoke and immediately felt upset. I thought, “Five years without a dream and now I don't even get a hug!” Then as I became more fully awake, it dawned on me I’d just been given something far better. Jason had returned to me as a child to comfort me. My son had given me words that have filled me with hope again and again ever since that night. Any time I ache for reassurance and comfort, I need only recall that one sentence from Jason, “But mom, death isn’t forever.” My topsy-turvy world had righted itself, with help from God!

THE COMFORTER

Think of a baby fed, dry, warm but crying. What do you do? Give it a pacifier. The comfort of the pacifier will settle the child down, and feeling secure the child will rest peacefully. Our counselor, our helper, our comfort. It is winter and you are cold, a woollen scarf or a warm quilted bedcover, will give you comfort. All these things provide comfort.

In understanding the meaning of a word we can look many places. In the Bible the Word tells us that the Holy Spirit does the following for us: filled, shall come upon thee; was upon him; shall teach you, was given; receive; in the comfort; poured out; sent forth; seemed good; witnesseth; hath made you overseers; well spoke; peace adn joy; bearing me witness; sanctified; which is in you; by kindness; communion; power; which dwelleth in us; miracles adn gifts; and moved by.

The Holy Spirit lives inside each one of us. He is their for each one of us. How much time do yu spend with Him? How can we spend time with Him?

THE FIG

The first time that the fig appears is the Garden of Eden story, when Adam and Eve ate of the forbidden fruit-that according to some Jewish sages was the fig-and they opened their eyes literally and metaphorically and discovered that they were naked, as written:

"And the eyes of them both were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig-leaves together, and made themselves girdles. (Genesis 3:7)
The fig leaves helped them to dress themselves, before they were exiled from the Garden.
The next time that we meet the fig is in the desert, while the people of Israel wanted to eat and in the wilderness they didn’t find any fruits, one of them was the fig, as we can read:

And wherefore have ye made us to come up out of Egypt, to bring us in unto this evil place? It is no place of seed, or of figs, or of vines, or of pomegranates; neither is there any water to drink.'"(Numbers 20:5)
This fruit with another six can be found in Israel, the Promised Land, as you can see in the next passage from Deuteronomy:

"Land of wheat and barley, and vines and fig-trees and pomegranates; a land of olive-trees and honey ;"( Deuteronomy 8:8).
One of the famous prophecies of Jeremiah is dealing with two baskets of fig tree. The first basket with the good figs is a sign for those who will return from the exile to the Promised Land, while the second is a symbol for those who are not found in Babylon. They are the bad figs as written in Jeremiah 24-

" After Jehoiachin son of Jehoiakim king of Judah and the officials, the skilled workers and the artisans of Judah were carried into exile from Jerusalem to Babylon by Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, the LORD showed me two baskets of figs placed in front of the temple of the LORD. One basket had very good figs, like those that ripen early; the other basket had very bad figs, so bad they could not be eaten. Then the LORD asked me, “What do you see, Jeremiah?” “Figs,” I answered. “The good ones are very good, but the bad ones are so bad they cannot be eaten.” Then the word of the LORD came to me: “This is what the LORD, the God of Israel, says: ‘Like these good figs, I regard as good the exiles from Judah, whom I sent away from this place to the land of the Babylonians. My eyes will watch over them for their good, and I will bring them back to this land. I will build them up and not tear them down; I will plant them and not uproot them. I will give them a heart to know me, that I am the LORD. They will be my people, and I will be their God, for they will return to me with all their heart. “‘But like the bad figs, which are so bad they cannot be eaten,’ says the LORD, ‘so will I deal with Zedekiah king of Judah, his officials and the survivors from Jerusalem, whether they remain in this land or live in Egypt. I will make them abhorrent and an offense to all the kingdoms of the earth, a reproach and a byword, a curse and an object of ridicule, wherever I banish them. I will send the sword, famine and plague against them until they are destroyed from the land I gave to them and theirancestors.’” (Jeremiah 24:1-10).

With those verses above we can learn the fig tree could be a sign for a sin or a sign of hope. For me I hope that all of us would eat from the good figs. They are a medicine from the enemy as we can see in 2 Kings 20:7. They are also a sign of the ideal peace of the Israelites and I do wish also for the rest of the world as written in 1 Kings 5:5-

"And Judah and Israel dwelt safely, every man under his vine and under his fig-tree, from Dan even to Beer-Sheba, all the days of Solomon. "(1Kings 5:5)
Have a blessed week and may peace will be in your heart and in your actions as well, Eli

THE COMFORTER/HOLY GHOST

John 14:16
And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;
The Comforter, which is the Holy Spirit. A gift to us, when Christ was taken up into heaven, so that we would not be alone. What kind of a relationship do you have with the Holy Spirit? Do you walk and talk with Him as Adam and Eve did in the Garden of Eden? Whom do you think the song is talking about when we sing, 'And He walks with me, And He talks with me, And tells me I am not alone?

If Jesus gave Him to us and He is with us forever, what kind of relationship do we have with Him? Ponder on these thoughts, share them with us if you so desire. We will be sharing with you what the Holy Spirit desires from our relationship with Him.

SUNDAY EDITORIAL 30 YEARS AND STILL CHANGING

Thirty years ago, I asked a girlfriend a question that made her very angry. To this day I still don't know why she got so mad I did not understand something and asked her WHY. As I was on line today, I read something and again the same question came to mind.

If the catholic church is the first church and solidilty based on the true word of God then why change things? At the end of this month, the church is making numerous changes in the mass.
Thirty years ago, it was in foods that could and could not be eaten at certain times; nuns no longer had to dress in the long gowns with a habit; and head coverings did not have to be worn.

We come from the ole school of following the Bible and God is a God that does not change.

As I read through the article I read 'And also with you.' is being changed to 'And with your spirit.' That after 'years of revising', this is 'one of the biggest changes in catholic worship in generations'.
There is a new missal that calls funeral rites 'fraternal offices of burial.' I have two favorites the first being: instead of 'one in Being with the Father' is now 'consubstantial with the Father.' The meaning: the actual substantial presence and combination of the body and blood of Christ with the eucharistic bread and wine according to the teaching associated with Martin Luther. Mind you it says associated with Martin Luther not said by Martin Luther. That is a big difference. My second choice is 'the commission sought to use language that would be gender neutral.' One other comment caught my attention 'They say, I’ve got everything memorized.' Which I know the Bible says to not repeat memorized words. Hebrews 10:1 The law is only a shadow of the good things that are coming—not the realities themselves. For this reason it can never, by the same sacrifices repeated endlessly year after year, make perfect those who draw near to worship.

So today thirty years later we non-catholics ask the same question I asked all those years ago. If you believe you are the one and only true church founded by Paul, with all the information this religion has on hand for hundreds of years then why are you changing things yet again?

In addition, just for the record we do not believe Paul founded this or any other church.

We firmly believe that Jesus said 'on this rock I will build my church. Him being the rock, not Paul.

The article closed with the following; ‘I’m not going to stand apart from the church,’ Ryan said. Rev. Michael Ryan is the pastor of St. James Cathedral in Seattle that urged a limited one-year introduction of the new translation, after getting over 22,000 signatures from clergy on a on-line petition.

We say ‘We’re not going to stand apart from Jesus and His Word.’

HE CALLS, WE FOLLOW

My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow me. John 10:27
Have you ever called a child to come in from playing? He hears the sound of your voice, might even turn his head to look your way, but for a few moments he looks back at his friends, before he comes home. My grandson reminds me of the cartoons with the little boy who goes all around and over the neighborhood before he makes it to my door.
What do we do when God calls us? Do we immediately drop everything and run to stand before Him? Do we even know the sound of His voice?
Well see I am at work; it will only take me a mintue to finish this up; I need to rest a few mintues; was that my thoughts or was that God. If in doubt, ask. Believe us He will confirm Himself if you need it.
We hear His voice and we follow Him. We have noticed in our years of following the Lord that if He calls you, He will cover for you. That is right. If God needs for you to share the Word with someone, if He needs you to make a phone call, or pray for someone, He will make sure you are not needed elseware.
He is really amazing. So the next time you hear that voice, stop listen and follow Him. You might be suprised where it lead you to.

A FRAGRANCE BEFORE THE LORD

‘For we are a fragrance of Christ to God among those who are being saved and among those who are perishing.’ 2 Corinthians 2:15
Savor the sweet flavor that we send up to the Lord. That is if it is a sweet fragrance, how do we know? Have you ever had someone pass and the sweetness of their fragrance had you sneezing? What smells good to one is not always good to another.
Many think that their actions are pleasing to the Lord when in fact they stink. Being honest with our self is not always easy. Be honest, is there anything in your life you would not want God to see you doing? Stinky right! The thing is He sees it all, and it smells to Him.
Thank God He forgives us. As you go about today, check yourself. Are you smelling good to the Lord or do you stink.

WHAT CAN WE SAY

We have been lead on a different path the last few days, and it looks like it is continuing. In reading what a world reknown pastor had said that we wrote on, I decided to look at others who lead some of these mega churches. Our sites will not name these people as that is not our goal. They are to answer to God not man. There are plenty of sites that name these people and their lies. What we will continue to do is bring the truth out with the Word of God, when we read or hear it taught wrong. Praise the Lord. We Win!
I was shocked at the doctrine or lack of doctrine that some of these mega-churches have. Usually when I read things like this I send them to LJG to read. This time i did not, I would not encourage anyone to read the things I was reading. Divorce is common, that is something that can be proven. Affairs and rumors of sexual transgressions can not in most cases be proven. Money spend on numerous cars and homes, etc., is again easily proven.
We have from the beginning said ask questions, be careful, seek God about the Word of God. Today we want to take that a step further. All churches should be help accountable, whether it is your local church or one of the bigger ministries. We used to get angry when we would see the government looking into the business of these mega churches. Now we understand why. If we should answer for our taxes, then yes churches should also. What do they have to hide? A churches records should be open to anyone that is supporting them. That means that the status of non-profit that churches receive should have to answer in public.
If you are supporting ministries outside your home church you have a right to know what your money is being spend on. So we are asking you to carefully seek God’s face on where you are putting your money.
If we came to you and said help me I need money to buy food for my family, but you saw me that morning leaving Macy’s with 3 shopping bags, would you give me any money? The money God blesses you with He does not want you to throw away. He desires that you use wisdom in your giving.
LJG and I do this because God has laid it on our hearts. We will continue to encourage you to read His Word and thrive for a closer relationship with the Lord.
God Bless

JESUS IS GOD, WE LOVE JESUS, WE LIVE TO WRITE ABOUT JESUS

Never have we put a gun to anyone’s head and forced them to read us. There are plenty of sites on line that we personally would like to see thrown into the pits of hell as we stand by and watch. There are also many sites that we just do not read, as they do not interest us. So right now, we are sitting here wondering why someone got as mad as to report us as SPAM. Is it because we encourage you to question even us? Maybe because we tell you to look for answers yourself. Now why would that make someone mad?

Then we looked up SPAM and when we saw the meaning, we were really at a lost. Have any of you that are reading this received it as a mass copy sent out. NO because we do not do that. However, wait there are two types of SPAM. In addition, NO we have not done the other one either.

QUOTE: “Spam is flooding the Internet with many copies of the same message, in an attempt to force the message on people who would not otherwise choose to receive it.

Cancellable Usenet spam is a single message sent to 20 or more Usenet newsgroups. (Through long experience, Usenet users have found that any message posted to so many newsgroups is often not relevant to most or all of them.) Usenet spam is aimed at "lurkers", people who read newsgroups but rarely or never post and give their address away. Usenet spam robs users of the utility of the newsgroups by overwhelming them with a barrage of advertising or other irrelevant posts. Furthermore, Usenet spam subverts the ability of system administrators and owners to manage the topics they accept on their systems.

Email spam targets individual users with direct mail messages. Email spam lists are often created by scanning Usenet postings, stealing Internet mailing lists, or searching the Web for addresses. Email spams typically cost users money out-of-pocket to receive. Many people - anyone with measured phone service - read or receive their mail while the meter is running, so to speak.

While the most widely recognized form of spam is e-mail spam, the term is applied to similar abuses in other media: instant messaging spam, Usenet newsgroup spam, Web search engine spam, spam in blogs, wiki spam, online classified ads spam, mobile phone messaging spam, Internet forum spam, junk fax transmissions, social networking spam, television advertising and file sharing network spam.”

We have never asked you to buy anything; never asked for money; have encouraged you to ask us questions; for those that left comments, we never gave out your info. The only way to read us is to go to our sites and read us. We do not even have a Web page.

Whoever it is, we have more important things to do with our time. We only feel sorry for those that did read us on that site. We pray and ask God to lead you to one of our other sites.

God Bless
